Watched Basel vs Porto. He looked really good but sadly he injured his shoulder again. Seems to have some serious problems with it. It was classic fight for the ball and he just showed that something is wrong and that he cant play any more.

Totally agree. We should go for him instead of harboring unrealistic hopes to get Veratti or get Gundogan who seems to be hot and cold + injury prone. This guy is calling the shots and being the focal point of midfield at age 20. Even Xavi didn't. Only con is that he's yet another midget and seems to be even more frail than all the other midgets that ever played for us or that we are eyeballing now.

Oli is 5' 9", hardly a midget. His buyout is ~36M euros I believe.

Dunno, he looks small. Maybe because he's so scrawny. And yeah, of course he's expensive, but i think it would be possible to get him from Atleti, whereas there's less than slim chance that PSG and BvB will part from their already accomplished players. And he doesn't seem to fit Atleti's style at least as long Simeone is there. Although what do i know.

I wasn't saying that he was expensive per se, just stating what it would take for us to get him (most likely worth the price tbh).

He's impressed me in the game I saw him playing Benfica, neat little player. Looks a talent.
It's not only about height. Verratti is small too, but he plays much bigger, Torres is quite weak and injury prone. If he costs 15 and then goes somewhere on a loan for 2 years, why not. But don't buy him to replace our aging midfield stars. We need at least one top midfielder not prospects or average players.
I´ve seen all his games this season. A real gem. He runs like no other player in midfield, he´s everywhere. Great skills, great passing, good finishing.
Amazing player. He dictates the game tempo. Very important role in Barça style.
That being sad i don´t see him leaving Atletico.

Therein lies the problem though. Atleti are wise, they are not letting this lad slip away. They have no reason to.
