Barca wont be getting 50m. Be much closer to 25m.

There is next to no chance the agent is letting this deal go through in way he misses out on 25m or close to that.

'Private clause' is just an agreement with club and wont be similar in place for other players as they were not in same position as Dembele when signed it.

Any club who act surprised when a player pulls a move like this when his contract is running out is plain stupid or powerless.

Reckon he will be worse in Ligue 1 than he even was here. PSG probably think they have got a bargain, but doubt it will turn out that way.

Dembele's main attribute is his dribbling and defenders in Ligue 1 are far more quick, mobile and agile than they are in La Liga. And if you happen to get past them they don't mind the odd hack on the legs.

Neymar mark 2 with far less goals, far less assists, and complete anonymity against big teams is what they are likely to get.

If that is the case, why didn't PSG just trigger the release clause? They had ample time to do it.

You think they didnt so Barca can make 25m more?

Could be a lot of reasons.. structure deal better for all concerned possibly than paying clause.

PSG lose nothing either way but possibly prefer to try negotiation first to see what options are.

Deco had been warning Barça for weeks that Ousmane Dembélé could leave the club and Mateu Alemany never even wanted to renew his contract last year in the first place. For them the situation is not a surprise.

Its obvious everyone wanted DEMBELE to leave last season for free. Except XAVI.

Club made 25m-50m thanks to XAVI, but lost their balls in that exchange.

I would have left him in the stands and kicked him out end of season for free. Personally.
