I see speed, great dribbling and most importantly, quality ball control.

Hailats are not the best tool for evaluating a player, but they give some idea of a player.

Plus he has great shots, so he hits a lot of free kicks and passes (you can see some smart, hidden passes in the video),

They sent a letter and it nullified the release clause and hence put them in a dictating position?

Wow, what kind of letter was it and why did UEFA and FIFA even allow this sort of bullshit?

No they sent the letter as have nothing to lose and if Barca offer any negotiation would only entertain it to their own advantage.

You saying 'why did they not just activate clause' makes no sense... why would they?

Numpties though they just 'didnt get it done in time'.

As usual.. wrong.

Seems you're forgetting that Dembele once played in the French league for Rennes and got 12 goals plus 5 assists in 26 appearances.
Injury would be his biggest problem, should have an impact there if he suddenly regains his pre-Barca fitness
You have a tendency to take the players side over the club.

Many players have great first seasons. I'm more inclined to be looking at his 8 seasons since where he has never scored more than 8 goals in a season.

He's a different player now ... one that has clearly not fulfilled his potential. Let's see how he gets on.

Yes, we should hear more about the nature and legality of this 'private clause'

Heres you thinking had it all worked out and PSG had just missed the deadline.

Textbook Birdster to have no idea.

If up to you he would have been gone for free a year ago and not played last year and a half so dont worry about it all.

He has been a disappointment if you compare what we paid for him vs what he delivered over 6 full seasons.

Just looking at La Liga stats:
37% - He only played around 37% of possible max minutes he could have played over 6 full seasons.
52% - In the season he played the most minutes he managed to play around 52% of possible max minutes.
0.29 - He managed to score 0.29 goals per 90 for the minutes he actually played.
0.40 - He managed to make 0.40 assists per 90 for the minutes he actually played.
0.57 - He managed to score 0.57 goals per 90 for the minutes he actually played in his best season.
0.43 - He managed to make 0.43 assists per 90 for the minutes he actually played in his best season.
0.11 - 0.11 goals per 90 vs possible max minutes he could have played over 6 full seasons.
0.15 - 0.15 assists per 90 vs possible max minutes.

So his stats were indeed good for a class winger for when he actually played.
But when you take into account how much he missed due to injuries Barca hasn't gotten nearly enough out of him.

Btw, just for fun you can go compare this to that other winger from that other team.
You know, the one we usually like to make fun of during and after clasicos.

Club probably quite content to get some transfer income to be fair. Especially with Ansu, Ferran and Raphi planting their feet on an exit.

Lenglet too, stalling any exit to make a few months more on his exhurburent contract.

Pay up, Na$$er. Pay up.

Hopefully we meet them in CL KO's and big Ronald two foots him. Mbappe will likely be gone in the winter and it's a certain sister's birthday at that point, so we can easily eliminate them with 10 men.

Lenglet according to reports has agreed with Spurs but it is clubs that cant agree.

Should try and punt him to Spurs with Kessie for 20m odd as a package and be done with it.

Can see Spurs losing interest soon enough though.

Let's not get too cocky now, we have to get out the group stage first, a feat last accomplished in 2020/21...
