Reckon he will be worse in Ligue 1 than he even was here. PSG probably think they have got a bargain, but doubt it will turn out that way.

Dembele's main attribute is his dribbling and defenders in Ligue 1 are far more quick, mobile and agile than they are in La Liga. And if you happen to get past them they don't mind the odd hack on the legs.

Neymar mark 2 with far less goals, far less assists, and complete anonymity against big teams is what they are likely to get.
Seems you're forgetting that Dembele once played in the French league for Rennes and got 12 goals plus 5 assists in 26 appearances.
Injury would be his biggest problem, should have an impact there if he suddenly regains his pre-Barca fitness

WTF is this 'private' clause?

Well, if this thing exists in his contract then Allemany messed up big time with it.

If it's just a 'gentleman's agreement', then ignore it and ask for the active release clause (100m)

!!!Currently nobody knows what transfer fee Barça would receive for Dembélé.. some say €50m entirely, some say around €35m, some say bit more than €25m. Let's wait for concrete information and possible confirmation on this topic.

Aye and you thought PSG had just forgot to get it all done on time.

Do keep up.

You think they didnt so Barca can make 25m more?

Could be a lot of reasons.. structure deal better for all concerned possibly than paying clause.

PSG lose nothing either way but possibly prefer to try negotiation first to see what options are.

It makes no sense that this "private clause", whatever it means, allows better terms for the buying club (PSG in this case) and the player and his agent than what a release clause brings while the selling club's interest is further harmed and is powerless to do anything about it. Basically PSG gets to pay Barça in installments as opposed to a lump sum, the two snakes still get their 25m before tax and Barça gets their 25m before tax but in several installments.

If so, is this "private clause" even legit?

Why would PSG pay the clause when all they needed to do was send the letter by a date?

They have nothing to lose.

City have been actively interested in him since Mahrez's departure.

Perhaps we should intercept him.

Fixed price 35 million pounds.
