Nevertheless people here regularly forget that most of the times Dembele creates the chances for himself, even if his finishing is weak, whereas apart from Messi no forward is able to create anything, the main example is being Griezmann.

2. You renew his contract where he takes a paycut that resembles that of a squad player, somewhere around 3-4m/year.

You CANNOT pay a player with his injury history, erratic performances his current salary of close to 10m/year, nor can he demand an increase in pay.

He is. I was thinking about the 12m salary reported by Der Spiegel, but that's obv gross salary.

Yeah, I was thinking more about the money that goes out of Barca than what he takes home here. In terms of our fragile financial situation.

I would sell Griezmann, Coutinho and Dembele this summer. Give Dembele's role to Konrad who isn't as talented and whose ceiling might be Tello, but he'll be cheap and is quick and good 1v1.

Imagine the audacity of asking for an increase in pay when the club had to deal with his constant injuries for 3 years and no noticeable improvement in performance.

yeah, just sell him. He is still good (but was never a finisher). You would notice that all our clear chances vanished after he was subbed (he is not a finisher but his pace is dangerous). I would suggest we buy a pacy striker and make dembele a supplier or just sell him (he would surely still be a good additions to other top teams) and it is better for both parties

lol, we lost 8-2 without him to Bayern. I dont get why everyone is behaving as if we dont know he wasnt a finisher before. He is the forward with the lowest finishing skills we have had in a while. He offers other things though
