Chronicles of this forum is bashing on the easy scapegoat every time. This time is Dembouz
Thankfully Laporta is cleverer than posters here and has no1 priority to renew him...

He has tons of qualities, and without him on the pitch the chances he missed would not have been there in the first place.
The way he played created those chances, from his movement close to the last line of PSG defence to his touches when receiving the ball to create conditions for shooting.

He can certainly work on his finishing to improve that part of his game.
It's strange how he bangs difficult shots, but most of the time does not convert the easy ones.
It's something that can be worked out.

Having said that, I agree with the view above that his salary must be adjusted, as in general should be done for almost all of the squad

Exactly, Barca against Chelsea in 2018 was a typical example. Dembele didnt play the first leg and all Chelsea had to do was to focus on Messi and we were toothless but things changed in the 2nd leg when he came back. Dembele has his limitations but he is no doubt a talent (its just bad that he has poor finishing), but he draws attention away from Messi when he is on the field and can be dangerous. Who do we even plan on replacing him with (with the inflation on the transfer market). That is why I think we should focus on getting a quality pacy 9 (with the money from a reduction of griezmanns salary or sales if that is possible)

He never got that with Dortmund, and his finishing was still poor then

you have a point.

trying to say he won't get better treatment wasting those chances at other Top European clubs.

Imagine him missing tap ins left and right at top EPL clubs. Imagine what the British hooligans will say and do.

BVB is small club. If he plays for the best clubs he should be one of the best. Not brainless idiot that gets 20mil per year and misses shots like 3 tier player.

He would most likely be a provider in another club and not the main forward (just the way he was mainly providing for Aubumayeng). Many EPL clubs would take him in a heart bit cause he would instantly improve them. (We know his finishing is bad so why not play to his strength).

Sane plays for Bayern and his goal-to-match ratio is lower than Dembele (not everyone is a finisher), even firmino has a poor scoring ratio. It is just better to play to his strength as we know he cant really finish

But he's also been bad as a winger. What the excuse there?

Its really not that black and white. He had some fantastic games for us this season. And I am still rather happy we have him (especially looking at other top clubs - United, Real, Juventus...).

We still have the most important title to play for. After that I will draw conclusions (apart from the obvious cases like Coutinho).

Probably best if we both part ways, but I think he would be good in another team. (like if he had an active 9 like Haland or Raul Gimenez of wolves before the head injury).
