With more games on a consistent basis he could massively improve his decision-making, which is probably one of the most problematic factors in his game.
He disrupts the opposition with his chaotic and unpredictable play, but needs to learn how to choose the best available option at any given moment. He has everything to be a game-changer, but lacks in the mental department.
This season he looks much more serious on the pitch, probably has something to do with all that talk that Xavi wants him to be a leader in the attack.
We`ll see what he can do, if he finally stays injury-free.

Demb?l? has rejected all offers from the Premier League and Serie A. He has decided to extend with Barcelona. @Ekremkonur

We bleed Blaugrana.

barca19stats Dembele gave 4 key passes tonight, as much as all Sevilla players combined. #fcblive

Second game in a row that he is showcasing how good a creator he is.

Of course, for the ones who have eyes, that was also there the previous years.
3rd in xT increase through passes (not carries) after Messi and Alba in 20/21.

But haters continue to sing their off tune song about him

Decade of Dominance has just began!

He has potential we always knew that.

Honestly at the time his purchase made sense. When not injured he was often our 2nd best player. It's just that he turned into a hospital patient once he signed here.

Because of his repeated injuries he regressed and is only now finding some form. He's lost some of that raw explosiveness but has become way more mature in his decision making although still lacking. If he Re-signs we really need him to not get anymore long term injuries and maybe he can fulfil some of that potential we all saw back in his Dortmund days.

Think xavi is actually a good manager for Dembele and our younger players compared to those before him. You could see that training was lacking on all fronts previously.

The money is lost already anyway, so not worth it looking at it from the perspective of him beim a 130M transfer and how successful that one was, because we all know it wasn't.

But considering our current squad with that severe lack of depth, quality and speed in attack extending him isn't the worst thing ever, and at least he's still young so could be sold at some point as well.

I think we might be getting greedy. Him running out of contract puts a natural end to things. Very high likelihood of him getting injured again the second he puts pen to paper and we will all be cursing this extension and be talking about how we could have cut our losses.

I'm just tired of us being permanent hospital bed/retirement homes for the lines of Vermaelen, Umtiti, Dembele, etc. If you cannot ever fully count on them (it's been 4 seasons now) it doesn't matter how good they look when they are 'fully fit and in form'.
