As for a direct replacement, if we can get that and Haaland (who must be the priority), we should really be trying to get Antony, still think he'd be cheaper than Raphinha, since him being in the PL automatically raises his real price by at least 10M. If Dembele leaves, we really need to be looking for a left footed player, since all of Ferran, Ansu and Abde are right footed, even though Ferran is more used to playing RW. Need that cut in and great finishing.

No, we need at least 2 exquisite dribblers.
Abde is one, Dembele is leaving, and no one else can dribble well from the rest...
We need depth as well.
A front-line of Ansu, Ferran, Adama, Depay, Abde + possibly Haaland (fingers crossed) after the summer,
is great depth up-front, and injury-proof

PS:
Comparison with Liverpool is failed.
They play totally different football, and their wide-forwards do not hug the touchline but come centrally all the time.

Missed this. Dribbler (explosive dribber infact so no Trincao's) yes, but Adama no. Not unless we feel strongly that we can convert him to RB.

Depth, quality, but proof of productivity. So in that regard Dembele wasn't a bad move at the time because he had 6G/13A in Bundesliga and 12G/5A in Ligue1 across the previous two seasons. Then you add potential and projected room for growth and it looked a solid move at the time.

Just it didn't work out here for case of injuries and reasons. And perhaps we should have scouted his style of play a bit more to see it wasn't a great fit because of technique and intelligence. But that parts hindsight.

Mane and Salah would both be fantastic for Xavi, and what Xavi has suggested he wants to play by fielding Dembele and Abde. I don't see how it is failed. Point is Mane had 13G/6A and 11G/7A in his two EPL seasons prior to Liverpool move. Salah 15G/13A and 14G/6A in his two seasons in Serie A prior to moving to Liverpool.

Adama on the other hand, 2G/3A and 4G/9A. This season 0G/0A. He isn't going to magically learn how to be productive. But yeah, he will give us some amazing mazy dribbles to the corner flag.

I don't see Pedri and Torres complaining entering the squad right after recovering from Covid...but, I guess, Dembele being a B'dor contender makes him a special case

Hey Moussa, speaking of day to day management: does this apply also to being punctual for training?

This buffoon and his agent will never change or mature.

Stop negotiations and tell him can leave now if get an offer. If he wants to stay that is on him but fine the living bejesus out of him any time he fails to act like a professional.

Can see him heading for Juve in a Morata swap until end of season if he will agree to it.

Dembele or his agent complaining about day to day when he misses the most practises.

Good mentality. It will take him far, NOT..

His agent is confirmed clown and Dembele too if he listens him.

What do you expect when you hire as an agent your best friend, and not a real agent, who has experience in this certain field?

Yeah, that creates very bad environment. Neymar had the same issue imo. Too many buddies kissing ass. Someone needs to tell you to get better. You can't be surrounded only by yes men. You start to believe your own hype and that your shit dont stink.

Although it seems to be common theme with players, especially from South America I think. Messi too.

Dembele has been mostly a wage thief at Barcelona, as much of his injuries can be chalked to his own poor conditioning and professionalism.

I also saw a lot of promise in him in 2017, but it's 2022 now and this guy gives us 5 goals and 5 assists a year at best.

'wage thief' - great combination of words

Ya alone because of his injuries he will never have a great output.

I do not believe he is renewing. Agent will look to drag out this back/forth until end of transfer window to ensure his client stays at a high profile club and freely negotiate with anyone. Shrewd move would be to enforce a deadline in coming 7-10 days and then move him out on loan to a Premiership side like Newcastle or similar - take him out of his comfort zone and he'll have to prove his worth there if he intends to even get a big payday in June at another club
