Sending players to the stands for not renewing is not good practise and very likely could have legal implications. Spanish PFA warned us about that and said we could face legal action if we put him in the stands for 6 months.

If he won't stay sell or terminate rather than keep him in the stands.

Lol what about all the other players at other clubs who are part of the squad, but don't even make it to the bench? The club can literally make up any reason to leave Dembele on the stands every game, and there's not a thing he, his agent or anyone else for that matter can do about it. 'Xavi deems him not good enough' just one of those. Not that the club is even indebted to say anything, they don't have to give a reason. Unless they're stupid enough to openly come out and say we're leaving him on the stands to punish him, which they won't do, even though we'll all know it is the reason behind it, if it comes to that.

Everything was ready for Samuel Umtiti to go out on loan. However, someone stepped on him in training, and fractured his foot. He will be out for 3 months, and will stay.

? @mundodeportivo

Who was it bros?

Not if we unregister him for the rest of the season and leave room for another player, if necessary. I believe we have that right during the transfer window. Moral or not, this prima donna saga pulled by his agent backfired. Even non-Barca friends of mine agree with me that Dembele is delusional in his demands.

Legal action goes a bit further than just taking the word of the employer, lol..

And anyways it is not desirable to continue to pay his wage whilst he sits in the stands. No point of that in the slightest except for getting some kind of 'revenge' on him which a club like Barca should be above.

I agree with the second paragraph of yours. That said, it is definitely legal as long as we pay his wages and he trains with us and not marginalized within the club like socially. Whether he plays or not is up to the manager and nobody can sue a club because of the lack of minutes etc.

Its not about his demands, they won't have renewed him on his current salary which is fine. Doesn't change anything but that's the picture. Its now on Dembele to get a club to buy him for 10-20m

Reading other forums no one is keen on Dembele lmfao

We will see what happens but he may literally be without a club except for Newcastle

lol what is this bs that the club could face legal actions if he gets send to stands,i.e. not called up to match squad? they think they can interfere internal decisions who will and won't be in match squad? it's not like he's getting banished from club grounds...

Exactly, shouldn't be hard to get 10-15k bid for him

Heard that Chelsea may be coming in with a 15M bid, which would be absolutely fantastic, if true. In that case I would maybe even ask for Ziyech, who they want to get rid of, but I think (like Van De Beek and De Ligt and even FDJ to some extent, funny how they're all from that 2019 Ajax generation, really sad how they all chose exactly the wrong club to move to, cause I liked that Ajax squad a lot and I still like the players) he's just a victim of not fitting into their system/mentality. But he would suit us a lot more, that's for sure.

Although I am worried about him being another '10' since he's not exactly your speedy typical winger, and not a central midfielder. We certainly don't need to be getting more hybrids like that into the team, after we just managed to get rid of Griezmann and Coutinho. But I do think that Ziyech might work out for us as a winger, as he's very technical and a smart player overall, plus an assist machine. But I do get it if we don't take that risk. Maybe just take the money then.

As for Dembele, honestly I see United as the only ones from the PL stupid enough to take him this month, but I wouldn't mind Chelsea either. Never see him ending up at Newcastle, at least not before the summer. The only way I do see him there, if they stay up and offer him the insane wage he's asking from us, and no one else comes close to offering that. But even then I'm doubtful, cause he'll surely think he's too good to even go to a club like that, I even think he'd refuse to go to Arsenal or Tottenham. He'll be targeting just the 4 top teams if he was to move to the PL. Liverpool and City are smart enough that they'll stay away, so that leaves United and Chelsea.

Dembouz is pretty much one dimensional winger who relies on speed and is most efficient when his team counter attacks like we did under Koeman in the beginning of last year in La Liga. Cannot imagine him turning into a playmaker all of a sudden.
