Yes but if the decision is made to leave him in the stands, they may as well terminate his contract. If done outside of the open window, he cannot sign and play with another club until the summer. It?s a big FU!

Nope.. I said if he stays they would play him and said 'why would they not free him rather than stick in stands'.

You were one thinking club would keep him and put in stands as punishment.

Leaving him in the stands is 100% legal.
Terminating his contract is questionable, they have to find legal grounding to do so.

But the fact that they are looking into legal ways of terminating his contract, is indicative of how much he is about to play this upcoming semester!
