Truth is, when Dembele plays like today he's the best attacking player in the team. The challenge is maintaining it, perhaps Xavi can.

Nice to see the goals and assists starting to come for him. He has played well, for the most part, this season but the G/A haven't been there. Now he is picking it up in that department as well.

Fair play to him, but still would not give anywhere near the contract he is demanding. Lad will inevitably become complacent, pick up more injuries and have 3 bad matches where he cannot control a ball for every 1 good one.

As far as tonight goes, it was his best performance here since a few years back against Leganes where he was dribbling their entire team for 60 minutes. He is not capable of those types of crazy dribbling sequences anymore. Much more of a wait and see player now that picks his moments.

Agree with you except for the part where you say he's not capable of this crazy dribbling sequences. I think he's still capable but now he's more mature and playing like a team player. He can do it but know that it's far more risky for the team play and just adapt himself.

He has actually been good this season (even against the likes of Madrid, Sevilla), the main reason I wouldn't want them to offer him that salary is cause other players might start asking for a massive salaries too. We can replace him with someone like Raphinha for now cause other wingers like Coman, Gabriel, Sane etc would also demand for massive salaries (n high transfer fee too)

Has matured some, but his injuries have also lessened his pace and quickness of his feet. Also think part of it is him being more cautious of activating into a full sprint because in the past that is how he often pulled his hamstring.

Fans have a right to whistle him and best thing he can do to respond is to put in performances consistently like this one tonight, even if he ends up still leaving

Just important to remember he has been here for 4 1/2 seasons and has yet to put it together consistently to warrant an extension much less the wages he seeks - this was one performance but an excellent cameo one

Let's see how this plays out from here until the end of the season

Fantastic 20 minutes. One of those days when he is world class. On Thursday in Naples he was 3rd division level.

It is what it is.

Yes thats why he can only succeed as an impact player.

Give him 15-20 mins every game then its back to Paris for dumbele.

Agreed. This was his best overall performance since that run he had against Leganes and Levante a few years back. Very talented display.
