The guy is stuck in time. He's playing as if we had just bought him in 2017 as a 20 year old. Flashes of promise leading to nothing. Amateurish mistakes mixed with low quality shooting and passing.
He's about to turn 25 but he's more inconsistent than 17 year old Gavi and 19 year old Pedri.

Shooting technique should be improved for Torres and Dembele. Dembele takes five minutes to kick the ball, when in goal scoring position..
Can someone tell him you don't always need to kick 100% power!?

With Dembele it has nothing to do with technique, have you seen him play? His striking ability is really good, he just doesn't have the composure, awareness, and intelligence to utilize his skills. That's it. That's why he gets blocked all the time; not only does he always makes the wrong decisions when it comes to shooting, he telegraphs them consistently as well. I take note of this all the time when he gets the ball in a dangerous area, all the opposition player0 do while Dembele is moving is stand still, wait for him to stop, position his body for a shot, and...it's directly shot at them. Almost all the fucking time. They don't even have to do anything, they just wait for him to make the mistake because they expect it. He has no awareness for shot placement whatsoever. The guy isnt scanning the box or the GK, positioning himself, and placing the ball with the appropriate technique and power. He's just shooting and spraying 100% of the time like an inexperienced kid, except he's a professional footballer for Barcelona in his mid 20s. 95% it leads to horrible misses, 5% of the time it leads to bangers.
He's turning 25 in a few weeks. I don't think he's getting any better. Crossing merchant with the occasional through balls is his peak.
This is Barcelona, we deserve so so so much better than this buffoon.

The shooting technique can be improved fairly easily though. Barcelona really needs to sign some ex-goalscorer to make these guys better goal scorers.
Suarez is close to retirement..
All Dembele needs to do is, place his shots, not kick every time his eyes are closed 100% power and he would score more goals. Quick move on the side and good placement and he scores way more than now.

Shooting technic so awful, that's why i believe so much in Ansu Fati if he's not injured. Ansu seems to be exactly aware of how to place the ball, often shoot on target and is not so previsible
It kills me how predictable dembele is when he shoot. And wh on earth do we let him take all the corner and free shots???
Apart from it, those who said he was at the same level as Ferran and Auba tonight... well... I'd giva them a 2 out of 10 tonight and a 4 for dembele
