Ousmane Dembélé

Still better than what Coutinho showed. Would rather watch Dembele miss chances, than Coutinho walking around and doing absolutely nothing.

Better than that is - both of them gone with their wages... First one does nothing, second one also because he spends 90% of the time injured.

You expect a bum that missed a 3m tap in when the team led 3-0 can win at Anfield??? Why didn't this bum try when he just needed a tap in to settle the score???

Lol. Any decent team should be able to close a 3-0 tie easily.

Blaming it on Dembele's miss and not the sabotage squad at Anfield is missing the problem.

If Dembele had scored. Liverpool would have scored 5 anyways. This is a group of players that shipped 8 to Bayern in 90 minutes a year later.

this is how I think about it. Too much shift of blame on dembele. No excuse for the players to give away a 3 goal lead.

The guy literally played a maximum of 5 minutes against Liverpool in a CL qualifier that had two legs and lasted for over 180 minutes.

Dembele not the reason we lost the tie, but he and anyone defending that finish should be fucking embarrassed.

That's what he is though. Some moments of brilliance, a lot of embarrassing moments making him look like a total amateur. Happy he's leaving.

The funny thing is, Dembele will be remembered from his ball bouncing skills and Liverpool miss. That says enough about his time here.

Painful.

Seriously though, those are two things which come to mind when I hear name Dembele and Barcelona. Add maybe injuries.

No one is defending that miss because it was fucking pathetic but the reason it keeps getting brought up is because drop kicks blame him (or infer primary blame) for us going out which has been an absurd take and is indicative of how much additional hate he gets because reasons.

With Dembele at anfield we would?ve caused more problems for them on the counter with them parking on the half line.
Could?ve ended with more misses and frustration of course.

Agree
They wouldn't have been able to press us and play so high with him in the team instead of the the 3 turtles regardless of his finishing. He scares opposition defences and changes the dynamic of the game regardless of how poor his finishing is. Has happened in multiple games when He's come on allowing us to create many more chances.

Add all the reports about him arriving late or missing out completely or otherwise being unprofessional, and his insane reluctance to do the honorable thing and sign a new contract so that the club gets something back after his farcelike career here after being one of the clubs biggest investments, on top of many more disappointing or funny moments on the pitch, too.

He did score a good goal or two at least, and had a few decent performances over the years.

Yeah, not a player we should cry over.
