Probably more BS, lol.

The price of Dembélé's departure to PSG is set at 50 million euros. By virtue of a private contract between Barcelona and the player, if Dembélé let the Barcelona club know his willingness to leave before July 31, the Barcelona club promised to transfer him for that amount, regardless of what was stipulated in his clause. of termination.

Dembélé and his agents never wanted his departure to occur through the termination clause, but have sought an agreement between clubs for his departure, as Mundo Deportivo has been reporting. Barcelona is bound, by virtue of the private agreement with Dembélé when he agreed to renew downward, to accept this transfer for 50 million, of which 25 will be for Barcelona and 25 for Dembélé and his agents.
It's just interesting how at the time all of the press was about "Padremany" and the terrific contract he signed, and how he got one over on Dembele.

At the time I remember calling out the deal was actually much worse than it was being framed as, and I remember this clause being vaguely reported as well but nobody really picked up on it.

We are still getting hoodwinked in negotiations even if it is not as bad as Barto era. Dembele should be going for at least 60m.

The clause has been discussed a fair bit on here and many of us predicted this would happen and it would be PSG that would come for him.

Many denied the clause and thought club had won the day… it was clear Dembele and agent had ‘won’.

By last summer they had little option but to sign deal like this though. Their fuck up was Laporta mouthing off the previous December about Barca haVing money to spend and being ‘back’ as a major player all while trying to get Dembele to sign a lower contract as they pleaded poverty to him. Then making it worse by trying to bully him into signing contract by saying he won’t play again for club unless agrees on their terms.

Can’t have much sympathy for them now Dembele plays his cards.

Some reasoning here makes no logic.

You all know that his contract expires in less than a year? 50 million or so is best we can get.
If we only get 25... No point selling him.

We are mugs if we sell our best winger for 25m profit because that's not even worth it given he has a year left. We should just keep him and go for the league repeat (which looks very possible).

60m profit minimum or no sale.

It is known that the winger of Brighton Mitoma, while studying at the university, wrote a dissertation on dribbling. It is clear that dribbling is a key aspect of a winger's game, so this is especially interesting.

The goal of the work was how best to beat an opponent using a camera placed on his head to collect data. In the work itself, he identifies several principles, the essence of one of the principles is the correct movement of the body and destabilization of the opponent. Mitoma will always be on the lookout for an opposing player when he receives the ball and will try to destabilize the opponent's center of gravity before dribbling.

One of Mitoma's theses is: it's best to go to the dribbling, looking forward, not down.

In practice, Mitoma uses all this very well, he plays in the Premier League, where there are many strong right-backs, but 1 on 1 he can beat almost any player with many different movements. This season, he ranks third in the league in dribbles per 90 minutes, averaging 2.3 dribbles, and has one of the highest percentages of successful dribbling attempts in the Premier League, with a 59.4% success rate.
He would be an excellent fit but with the fees Brighton are charging for their players there is no chance we get him whilst he's under contract there unless you want to pay 90 mill.

If the fucker wants to go just sell him, no point of holding him at the club anyway. And after all those injuries any money is good money + his wages are gone.

Media now going with the fact that PSG/Dembele only had to inform Barca by the 31st of July that they intended to pay 50m for Dembele and now have 5 days to sign him.

The 25m is still due to Dembele and in the 5 days the clubs can negotiate to see if can put together deal that better suits both sides.

Would explain why the clause was not paid yesterday.

This idea that PSG had just failed to meet the deadline was never realistic.

PSG have NOT activated La Liga €50m exit clause for Ousmane — expired and now valid for €100m. By sending formal letter to Barça, PSG activated a ‘private’ clause. It makes Dembélé available for same amount, €50m. Deal to be sealed by end of the week.

🚨 PSG sent a letter to Barcelona yesterday saying that they're ready to pay the €50m clause for Dembélé. However, they prefer to reach an agreement with Barça, even if it's for more money, as this would allow them to pay in installments. @lequipe

Horatio

You're welcome
He is one of the best wingers right now. Should never let him go with Frenkie and Pedri. A lot of players people hyped up raise some questions as to whether they would really reach a high level if they left their respective league(Serie A).

Next season he wil be injury free and very important for La Liga race.

Let's see if it holds.
