What makes you think Zidane might not do an equally good job next season, Don?

Even though we Cules don't like it or don't want to acknowledge it, Real Madrid is one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and they are dubbed "the most successful club in the 20th century" because of the silverware they won, most players would join them in the blink of an eye, without hesitation, despite their reputation of being somewhat a flashy and superficial club when it comes to signing players.

Because I simply don't think Zidane's that good of a coach, yet.

I think the reason they've ended up strongly(apart from their obvious luck ofc) is because

1. Zidane is an ATG. The Madrid players couldn't undermine him because he wasn't a top footballer like they did with some of their previous coaches.

2. He's riding on one part of the tactics he learned under Ancelotti's guidance, and that's corners and free-kicks. That's not enough and Madrid will eventually get found out.

3. The positive effect just a change had on the players because of their obvious dislike for Rafa Benitez

4. Florentino Perez. He already wanted Zidane to manage another team first, and if he doesn't deliver right away, he would have no qualms about replacing him.

he managed to introduce Casemiro to their lineup
and that was one of the key to their resurgence as compared to last season where their DM-less lineup was constantly exposed

I think it is way too soon to have a verdict on Zidane, either good (like many Real Madrid fans have boasted after them winning the CL) or bad.

He's been linked with so many clubs these past days, that for now, I will remain calm. He will stay at Juve for another season and then come here. The Zidane effect is a bit worrying, though. Won't be easy to turn down your idol. Hope he won't be persuaded by Zidane's empty promises.

I think a lot depends on the euros

If he has a huge tournament then he will likely leave...great euros will drive up his price as well.

... and what a feat that was
I mean, everyone and his dog could see that the midfield of the fat waiter was hopelessly imbalanced. Whether it was sheer stupidity on his part of pressure of Uncle Flo to play like that, we don't know, but it was the most apparent flaw in any top side's game out there...

Zidane seems a pretty average tactician but he is the right coach for rm imo.

No one else has the charisma/legacy to earn near unanimous approval from his (egotic) players, and he's got as much room as anyone's gonna get under floper.
I was unpleasantly surprised at how pragmatic his approach is too.

Anyway he'll be gone next season if rm don't win CL/liga.

That's a ton of money, if we're talking 90-110m, I totally don't care if flo gets him, I would never give up 100m for him if I was the deciding person.

I really don't see Pogba as a rotating player, neither Kroos nor Modric. so who they gonna bench? Casemiro? He is DM and Pogba isn't.

I don't understand why Madrid would be interested in Pogba now unless they are selling either Kroos or Modric.

Players like Pogba, Verratti, big names are a big investment, but the good thing about them is that if it goes wrong, we can more than make up for it and get everything back and more.

That won't be happening with the likes of Arda pushing 30 or the likes of Pjanic and others. Just look at Cesc. I think we probably got what we paid back, but for a player like him who had quite the reputation in England, it was kind of pathetic.

Pogba's, Verratti's, Neymar's are players that we'll make a profit of anyway, and their quality seem to be too much for them to fail.

If Pogba pushes for a move, then I think we can get him for 80-90m + incentives(which will be paid if he's worth the big investment and everyone will then forget the fee). You have to take his age in to account too. Long-term investment that'll pay itself off in the long run.

We after all paid 81m for Suarez and if we put him up on the market right now, you bet the likes of PSG, City will be more than willing to pay more, despite his age.

Kroos to City are rumours lately.
