Paulinho

At this point all I care about is that it's a max 3 year contract with low wages. It's not going to be though. 5 years same salary as Pique incoming.

I am sure he complained that he was being played out of position at Spurs when asked to play deeper and dont think it is where he plays for Brazil or in China either.

Would guess the real alternative to Verratti will be Messi at AM.

I hope not especially with Deulofeu as main option at RB. Another disaster waiting to happen. I was hoping we would target Fabinho if Paulinho is the type of player we are targeting. He can actually be a backup at DM and can occasionally play at RB and also can be deployed alongside Busi. Would cost 40M. Much better player than Paulinho too. But i don't want either of them to come, just don't think it is the right profile we should look into. Get an RB and be done with it if we are not signing Verratti. No point in wasting cash.

Evergrande Group chairman Xu Jiayin says they won't let Paulinho leave the club this summer.

We need to not only consider the financial account of the corporation, but also the specific situation of our current campaign

Paulinho has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we attach great importance to this matter. But we won't let him leave mid-season.

The club have just reached the halfway point of the season, it is out of the question that we let go such a key player.

I understand the feelings of Paulinho but hopefully he will understand the club.

Despite receiving the offer from Barcelona, he still plays each game to the best of his ability.

I call on every player to learn from Paulinho's professionalism.

I'm always afraid of an official transfer announcement when I see that El Flaco was the last to post in Paulinho-thread.

Thank god. This must now be the end of the madness. Time to accelerate the signing of Yerry Mina for 10m and activate Ricardo Pereira's release clause for 25m euros. Go all in for Goretzka if we want that type of midfielder since he has only 12 months left on his contract and would probably not cost much more than 20m. If the money is there, get Thomas Lemar from Monaco.
