Pedro Rodriguez

Him not being able to score can partially be attributed to the way we also play.? We have Leo, Andres and Cesc arriving at scoring position most of the times and Pedrito does a great work on the flanks. One thing that Im sure of Don Pedro is that, when the right time comes and when the team needs it the most, he will score and it will be a jaw dropping goal like the one he did against Madrid in the Supercopa at Camp Nou.

I agree that he probably doesn't get into as many scoring positions as he did a few seasons back, but he does still get a fair amount of chances during most of the games he plays. These days it's not exactly mandatory that he scores, as Messi basically takes care of that part, but he should still bury a decent bunch of those chances, as I see it.

You just have to admire this man's work rate. Despite his poor finishing his work rate intensity is still one of the team's best. Compare it to Ibra's, a couple of years ago. He couldn't score and effectively shut off. Pedro isn't scoring either, but you'd be a fool if you said he wasn't playing football out there.

Doesnt remind anything of the player we saw in the start of the season with the killer finish...

Did he have a decent cross in for the match?...He's certainly entitled to an off night but even when he's not clicking he usually makes up for it on the other end - that didn't happen tonight

Pedro always has a chance to score (this time Alexis set him up nicely) but I am resigned to accepting Pedro even in his goalless role because his off the ball play alone is worth having him out there.

And Messi claims another victim.

That's a fair point to raise, admittedly...We are, after all, talking about arguably the best player of all time and players/teammates are naturally going to defer to him and that has to take the edge off of a goalscorer

Does Cuenca have the green light yet?

Pedro is vital to this team. He had a very bad second half and really needs to get his morale up for next week.
