he was pretty poor at the start of the season but has worked his ass off to get his form back, and has done a pretty great job. he's been productive on and off the ball over the last month and a half. he's on track to hit superb form in the coming weeks along with alves and pique.

Pedro has gotten into great form recently and one game doesn't change that. The entire team was lackluster so you can't pin him for going back off form (not that he ever really was, just mainly with scoring). The miss was bad, but it was only a miss. He'll pop back up and score soon and then you nay-sayers will be eating your words.

Agreed 100%, Villa may have an edge over Pedro in many areas (except speed and stamina maybe) but i was still happy to see him start the classico along Messi and Cesc.

His finishing was never as prolific as Messi or Villa ofc, but we know what he is made of ! lots of heart, his work-rate is massive and obviously a great support up front if not poised to score.

Pedro is a keeper, the moment he leaves for another club (loan, sale..etc) Tissue sales in Catalunia will rocket, we need to appreciate to be honest...

Scoring goals? Absolutely not, except the last few games. Does he work hard enough? As much as everyone else does, nothing special. Helps defense? Every player in the squad helps the defense, that's what makes this team so great, remember? Villa would be doing the same if Vilanova wasn't so stubborn and allowed him to play. Is he an excellent squad player (a.k.a. pussy), yes, he definitely is. Doesn't have the nuts to take on a defender, and passes the ball to a teammate immediately. But hey, if that makes you an excellent squad player, then he surely is one. Good passing, that's what every player in the squad learns on their first day at the club.

The only thing he does well is making himself available for receiving the ball and creating space for his teammates with his runs.

I hope you're joking. The most special thing about pedro is his workrate. He has all it takes to be a barca winger. Only thing that was missing in 2012 was a good finishing. Other than that he's wordclass in every aspect.

Pedro's form this this season and last season is well bellow his standards. He used to be so clinical, not something you can say nowadays.

Somebody needs to remind him he's a winger not a defender. He becomes so invisible it seems he isn't playing. No dangerous runs down the wings, no attacking play. All this work rate nonsense is getting on my nerves.

But first someone needs to tell Alves to get his shit together. Pedro playing like a right midfielder/wingback is a direct consequence of Alves not doing his part properly. If Alves was more focused on his defensive tasks, Pedro would have more freedom to attack. Pedro is actually being the good guy and covering for Alves, and it comes across as if he is not trying enough.

+1 If we play Montoya Pedro can get back to his best. When we had MVP all three were clinical threats. Nowadays oppositions game plan is man marking Messi and the sad thing is it is working too often
