Pedro Rodriguez

Well, sure he 's got the workrate, but I don't know he has the defensive skills to prevent or block crosess. Unless my understanding of a wingback role is completely wrong, Pedro alone against top world class wingers is definitely not something I'm looking forward to.

He stopped a Messi goal once. That put Varane on the map should make Pedro great too.

Happy 27th Pedro. Hope you will be a super sub this year and you won't whine if you sit on the bench 3 out of 4 games.

They can always go back to width when needed against opponents who actually will come out of their box, and the fullbacks should provide enough width in other situations. Glad to hear it, should make all the forwards more productive, especially with Messi dropping back into the midfield, as he usually does.

Makes a lot of sense. Neymar will get the freedom to move on both the inside and outside of the fullback, Suarez gets the space to move anywhere across the front line, and Messi essentially plays as our 4th midfielder like he did in 10/11. It also allows for our fullbacks to move forward into completely open space without any markers whatsoever like Alba and Montoya did today.
