Pedro Rodriguez

Yeah, that was a really classy performance by Pedro. Great control and touches, accurate and creative passing and just an overall great teamplayer - a well oiled cog in the machine. Hope he keeps this up!

Yup, nice performance, involved in at least two goals and several other chances.

Should have started against Cordoba, Neymar was such a waste od space today.

Will be sad but won't blame him if he leaves this summer or January

MSN is probably going to start every game for the rest of the season, and next season probably won't be any different if Lucho is still in charge.

The role Pedro has now is admittedly insulting to the career he's had up to this point. Him leaving would give him playing time, and the small amount of minutes he is getting would be tremendous for a younger player coming up. It'd be best for all parties, imo.

Would it be insulting if he had done something better on the last seasons, specially before Neymar and Suarez signing.

His current playtime is a direct consequence of his not-so-great performances for the last two or three seasons.

Hard to put him as a poor victim.

You are not making any sense. How about Pique then who was also nowhere near this form in last 2 seasons.

Might be better for him, certainly not for Barca though. At the very least, when push comes to shove in a difficult match and one of MSN is injured/fatigued/whatever, it's reassuring to have Pedro up the sleeve instead of some unproven b-team newbie who is bound to crack under pressure, no matter how talented said newcomer allegedly is.

Yeah, because he's proven that he sucks so much that he can't handle Cordoba.

If we had signed the Neymar and Suarez of defenders, he would've had the same fate. Now he's great again, so it's all good.

Pedro is great for us, he should stay because he'll eventually get his minutes, being the first choice off the bench. Neymar is far from being shit for having a bad game, neither is Pedro for being benched by Neymar.

I think Pedro's chance will come at the beginning of the next season when Messi and Neymar come back from Copa America. Both of them will need much rest.
This season he is a bench player and rightfully so. Imo he should have gotten more playing time against clubs like Cordoba but in general there should be no discussion about Neymar's and Pedro's contribution to the team.
This system is not suited for Pedro anyway.

Pedro provides absolutely nothing from the bench right now... When was the last time he scored, when was the last time he was involved in some important goal? I would rather see some perspective young player who can improve, than Pedro. Deulofeu, Munir, Sandro, Adama, Halilovic - we have 5(!) young forwards (AMs) in need of playing time. And only 1 of them will likely get enough minutes to develop. If we don't give them a chance and rather keep Pedro, we might pretty much close La Masia, why bother after all...

He won't have a chance to play instead of Messi/Neymar, because he'll be playing in Arsenal. :) If the rumor of them offering 30mil+ euros for him is true, I say take it and run.

Denny Crane!

Whether he leaves or not will depend on whether he wants to play waterboy anymore. I'd actually love to see more what he can do starting with the starting team in the left wing spot, with Pedro starting and Messi right, Suarez center, and a Rakitic/Iniesta/Xavi/Busi mid. The whole time he was getting starts at the beginning of the season, he was basically a CF stand-in for Suarez, as Lucho was working out his tactics. Any time he has started in the formation above, the team has performed well- Cordoba 5-0, Elche 6-0, Rayo 6-1 (no Busi), Almeria 4-0 (no Busi). Whether or not Pedro scored/assisted in those games, the front players have clearly done well- my point being that a more conservative player in Pedro on the left just means recirculating the ball more often to Messi/Suarez, resulting in more opportunities for Barça's two most lethal/creative attackers. Would like to see if that is also the case with more difficult opponents.

I don't think Pedro would work well near Suarez, he needs Messi or similar skilled player next to him to feed him the ball to be effective.

Also he wasn't really starting at the beginning of season... LE preferred Munir and sometimes even Sandro over him.

You are the one not making sense.

Pique staying as the first and only option is just a confirmation of board inability to correctly plan our squad.

Nothing to do with insulting and unfair treatment towards Pedro.

As I said so many times before: blame on Pedro his own lack of minutes.
