Their's is just as bad, but we'll see in October.

Ours might not be worse than theirs, but due to our overly focus on posession and our extremely slow speed (especially when switching from offense to defense), once we lose the ball there is not much support our defense is getting from the rest of our team, there will be a lot of open space in our half for RM's fast forwards such as CR7, Bale and Isco to capitalize on.

We are way too slow.

Diego is closer to San title than Iker has been for 3 years now. We will see how it pans out in the long term. That injury is really fishy, because it didn't seem like a tough challenge at all. Might or might not be something bigger for the days to come.

Yeah, 1 season should definitely earn him that title.
In any case, Iker did well for the 13 minutes he was on. We'll see about the injury, Carlo's guess is that it will take a couple of days for it to heal.

Awful against BM. man mark them, and our game turns to crap

After all the great things they have done you are going to judge them on a couple of bad games?

Our midfield has more potential than any other, at its peak it was not just the best in the world but arguably of all time, granted we are not at that level right now but with Fabregas playing better than ever for us we have a new dimension that was not present these past couple of years and Iniesta and Busquets are still the best in their position.

Our defence is the only thing that lets this team down, the midfield and forward line are as good as any team in the last 20 or 30 years.

Real Madrid are right there too, they just don't have Messi who is what separates the two teams in my opinion.

Busquets and Xavi were both playing injured, and the whole team was shit.

The shit form of last season had nothing to do with any inherent weaknesses in any of our players, it's silly to bring that up.

The score doesn't tell the entire story. Gala started well actually, adter the first goal and Drogba's injury we somehow lost it and conceded amateurish goals. Especially our defence is actually non existent. Fr the Madrid fans here, this 1-6 record victory tells nothing about the Madrid team or this season!

It tells a lot actually, most things that we already know:

1) Team needs time
2) We have 4-5 absolutely top top class offensive players where each of them on their day can help others seal the game
3) Defence isn't bad, but it isn't the best either. We had about 2-3 fuckups at the back in the first half, namely Carvajal putting Sneijder(?) onside and Ramos raging out at the ref when the Galata player was actually onside, and some serious marking issues that just repeated themselves lately. But it's nothing that can't go away.
4) Carlo knows
5) Another solid Arbeloa performance. The man looks like he's on his way to being his rather consistent average-above average self.
6) Galata defence are mental pussies. Completely fell apart after that first goal. Inexcusable.

Dude, we played in one of the loudest, toughest stadiums in Europe. That's where we lost last season if you remember. The fact that we got 6-1 out of it tells a lot. Plus, as Wolfe said, you conceded a goal and went full retard after that. You can't let something like that happen.
Whoever tries to diminish this victory, just go back to last season's match there. We had a hard time and we learned from it. It's a great victory against a good opponent who gave us loads of problems last season.

Lopez shouldn't be benched for important games in any way, i already know he'll play the most of the games and for the CL groups too but he's on superb form. Yesterday i personally believe Casillas started just for the fans to see that he's still considered on the team and not for a small game. But Lopez has to start and yet again Casillas gets injured by a teammate in the first game he starts, that's what you call unlucky.

You don't have a clue what Casillas means to your own club, hilarity

Casillas has played so he is cup tied in the winter transfer window. No CL club will try to get him now in case he hands in a transfer request.
