I think he i picking the right moment..Do you think that's what it is? If this is his intention with these one year-deals (which is quite quite possible in my mind as well) then he could have waited for a bit longer to announce that he is staying for one more season.
And then troll his players all over again
In terms of timing, it is just before the most important part of the season. If he had prolonged that, the players will be disrupted during the crucial games of April/May

Everyone said Mourinho is a great coach - Guardiola is better.

Seriously, a few months ago I said Mourinho is the more successfull coach but Pep is better because he is a long term coach while Mourinho is just for quick results and then leave everything destroyed. Now I simply say Guardiola > Mourinho
In every possible way.
He even looks better, dresses better and is a better husband. Professionally and privately Guardiola > Mourinho
