Again with Rosell, Pep's presidency and assumptions. Did anyone read the stuff in original and understood?
As far as I gathered, guy asked him if he would come back to coach Barca again and Pep said his spell with the club was over.

Yes. That's what he said: "Es difícil que vuelva a dirigir al Barcelona", "It's difficult that I'll be back to coach barcelona".

He also said it's a stage closed of his life, that people go on and stuff like that, but he never said he won't be back. Just that it's difficult. And it's my assumption, but taken pep and rosell relationship during his spell here, it's not hard to connect the dots.

I'm getting the feeling something serious happened between Pep and the board. I can now really see why he allegedly urged the board to offload Villa, Valdes, Alves and some others and I believe the board didn't back him up which is why he left. I think Rosell already is regretting his mistake of letting Pep go.

Rosell isn't regretting it, that would be the case if Pep was willing to tow Rosell's line - but we know that isn't how Pep rolls...Pep is a Cruyff disciple and Sandy has successfully rid the club of all the remnants of the legend's legacy at the club...Rosell would need to be ousted for any return of Pep

It wasn't pep fault he left, He is a true cule and a saint, He was forced to leave by some very evil men.

The thing is Pep always said that he would only be manager for 4 years or so. He said that from the very beginning. I'm not a huge fan of Rossel but I think it's too easy to blame Pep's departure on him.

Tough act to follow if Bayern and Heynckes sweep the board. I suppose the hard work has already been done with Bayern gutting Dortmund with Goetze and possibly Lewandowski.

Whether it was Rosell's fault or not, I am really disappointed about Pep's recent words.

We should all know, Barca doesn't need Pep to succeed, we need a coach with a tactical mind and charisma to pull players along. Pep had real good time here and gave us many trophies. he was not the only good coach we had and will not be the last. the sooner we get over Pep, the better. I was thinking if Rosell and co were not going to be cooperative, then naturally there was nothing he could do but leave. I can not blame him really.

But then I went and read a bit and as Don_Andres said, Rosell and Zubi had said that Pep had gotten carte blanche to do whatever he wanted with the team. If Pep had gotten what he wanted and still left us, it would be really be like smelling a storm and leaving the ship while there is time. In this stage someone like Emery could coach us to much better places that we currently are in.

He wasn't our first good coach, and he won't be the last good one, but in all honesty, he wasn't just 'a good coach'. I don't think we'll see a coach as succesful as him at Barca ever again, or at least for a very, very long time. Pep was (is) a footballing and coaching mastermind, a charismatic figure, had huge balls, had authority over the players, yet managed to be the boss, the friend and the dad to many of them. He was the absolute perfect fit in that situation on every single level. In addition to his own talent and skills, though, he was also lucky that many of the players were at their absolute peak during his era, which only improved what was already a perfect team. Pep deserves all the love and praise in the world from Cules, and as much as it sucked to have seen him leave, he was never really intended to be the SAF of Barcelona. Just like he wasn't their Ryan Giggs when he was still a player. Resenting him for leaving is absurd, since he was the one who brought the success in the first place.

You guys making too big of a deal out of Pep's words. Contrary to what some of you say I think those were very honest words. If there was anything between him and Rosell which looks very possible, then hearing those words are not much of a surprise as of now. He's just giving an honest answer to that question at this time. That's all.

Besides, I much rather hear such answers than hearing people like Jose Mourinho babbling on and on about their LOVE for this and that club and yet all they care about are going to a club where they could shine their own personal record even more.

His comments are disappointing. Dont know the full story behind the Pep-Rosell relationship but imo he jumped ship when the going got tough. He's a legend but we need to move on.
