Just read at some news site that the "ResPEPct" banner was removed by the stadium officials during the game against Betis. I remember seeing the banner at some point. I don't believe or really understand any of it, but I wanted to hear if anyone else has heard anything about this? Apparently, the club wanted the banner removed because of their contract with Turkish Airlines...?! None of this makes sense to me.

Makes sense, it was blocking a Turkish airline banner.

I was surprised to learn that he and Messi barely have had any contact with each other since the former left the club. A strange thought giving how mutually dependent both were of each others success.

Why is it so hard to believe that he might to something for his own glory, Why everyone is forcefully trying to give him an image of a pure 'Saint' Can you provide a proof that he never even thought of himself?, I don't think you can.
To me it seems that more than some are trying to portray him as a saint, there are others such as you that are trying to tell us that he's a selfish man because he did what he thought it was best for him, his family and Barca. And yes I said Barca because those who watched him play for our club know that he chose to leave when he thought that he couldn't give everything for the club he loves more than you, me or anybody on this forum. Not to mention his words in the press conference:"m'en vaig o prendrem mal" that tell me more than any theory I read in the press or on this forum.
No one said he has to do anything against his will, He doesn't owe barca anything, And he can leave whenever he wants
And yet you say you are dissapointed with his actions.
Yet i don't have to care about him anymore now do i?,
Then you shouldn't be so dissapointed..

Abandon sinking ship.
How is this a sinking ship if Tito is winning every single comparison with Pep and he is an even better person?
Pep doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd want to be the president of the club. Besides, he's too young and too talented not to coach for many years more.
This..it seems that everybody was making assumptions(even when Pep said a hundred times that he won't be with us for long) and now they are getting dissapointed based on those assumptions. Besides Rosell said that he wants to be a candidate for the presidency of Barca again so we won't be seeing Pep at Barca at least until 2022.

No idea why he said that but if he really meant it, his identification with the club can't be that big after all, I think it's normal to be disappointed with his comments.
Says who? I love my parents but I don't want to live with them anymore. I guess that makes me selfish, ungratefull and not the saint they thought I was.
Not to mention that I would hate it if he would behave like Mou and every time we lose a trophy to hear the Camp Nou singing his name, putting even more pressure on our current coach.
Where is Maria, She loves analyzing these kind of stuff, Although i still think she is biased, But i'm interested on what she has to say about this.
I love you too even though I think you're even more biased than me..

I just get the feeling he'll three years at Bayern, then he'll move onto a big club in England do three years there and so on. A bit like Mourinho has done - just going round the houses of these big clubs in Europe and not really testing themselves.
They're like Messi and Cristiano..I mean why would you want a job well paid, with the best resources and where you can make your dreams come true? And especially when you started from the bottom
and you've been working all your life to earn the right of doing whatever it pleases you.
Didn't Rosell & Zubi say at the time when Pep left, that he had carte blanche to change the team however he wanted?
No, they didn't and even if they would have I wouldn't believe somebody who said that Abi will have a new contract after his first game and preffered to wash their hands after that.

I wouldn't be surprised he never won CL again

I would be, but I hope that you are right for the next 3 years.
