he's just trying to get back at rosell. Ther worst part if that he thinks rosell is to blame for the rumor that Pep tried to stop Neymar for coming to barca ( which is partially true) but still, Rosell has nothing to do with that rumor.

Should we be surprised that one of Pep's ( if not his best) friend is Cruyff who recently came out to say that "with Neymar in the club, I would sell Messi" or claiming that Neymar and Messi will never get along?

Pep and Cruyff hate Rosell and b.c of their egos would rather hurt barca if that means that they can get back at Rosell.

It was a very peculiar comment.

Blame Rosell then. Kiss his ass? Really. Rosell and our present coach guarantee Thiago playing time and the player is being greedy and impatient and willingly moving out of the club and you want other clubs to refuse a young talent.

Keep living in your fantasy world then.

Who is saying that Thiago is being greedy and impatient?

Your arguments seem to change every post.

I do have a problem with somebody so close to the situation taking advantage of the clause. Very much so.

Barcelona needs to cut off all ties to Pep after this. Who knows how much further damage he can cause to the club.

Good posts Ryan_Cule.

Rosell is an idiot and Pep was telling the truth in this press conference.

If Thiago wants to leave might as well do and Pep has nothing to do with it, blame it on Tito that doesnt trust the young fella.

It's been a year.

We threw all our eggs in two baskets trying to get Thiago Silva and Javi Martinez last summer and came up short. Rosell had no idea that Puyol would get injured again and Mascherano as a CB was Pep's idea. We refused to activate Javi's buyout last summer because 40M seemed like it was too much for him, especially considering we were going to bring him in as a CB and he only had a year of playing there under Bielsa. If he can pull the deal off for Thiago Silva, I'll be mightily impressed. I started watching the kid Marquinhos when it was rumored very early on that Rosell was interested and the kid looks amazing.

Rosell is doing the right things like letting Deulofeu go on loan to Everton even though Tito tried suggesting for him to stay and get a marginal number of games with the first team and play with the B team again.

Do you see any rational/thought out investment or interest on a CB right now? So far we can only say that he's shown interest in the most obvious yet unattainable CB possible in Silva, instead of going for smarter and cheaper transfers that he's supposedly famed for. Even Marquinhos, while amazing would be a very high profile choice right now and thus be for no less than an insanely high fee. Many other teams get lower profile players who are actually very talented but come for cheap prices (Dante, Varane, etc.) yet we are ready to prematurely splash 45m or more at the first CB we see in a knee jerk reaction to our downfalls.

As for Deulofeu going on loan, it pains me to see how stupidly Tito would actually recommend that the stay instead of going out to gain experience. It goes to show how little of an authoritative and logical coach he has been in 12/13 because he's been under the shadow of Rosell.

Do you still have a link to the article in which he said that? I don't recall that nuance tbh.

I'm too gutted to do much research...I'll look around eventually but even his father has been quoted talking about how he would show respect & deference to the club in his dealings...Tom, this is bad...You'll have conversations in the future about the goings on of the club and most of them can be drawn back to this day

Here's an article from January. Oh Thiago you lying bastard.

The midfielder has crushed speculation he will be leaving Camp Nou and linking up with his old mentor in the Bundesliga next season

Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara insists he will not be following his former coach Pep Guardiola to Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians announced the recruitment of the ex-Camp Nou boss on Wednesday, with the 41-year-old set to replace Jupp Heynckes at the end of the season, leading to rumours of potential new additions to his playing squad.

“I am here in Barçelona, playing for the best club in the world, so I don't plan to leave for Bayern,” Alcantara told reporters at a press conference.

Guardiola left the Catalans at the end of last season and embarked on a self-imposed 12-month sabbatical from the game and the midfielder admits he is glad to see him make his return.
"It is really good news that Pep Guardiola has come back to football," he continued.

"He made history at this club and he gave too many things to football. Now, he can do the best for Bayern."

And after coming through the ranks of La Masia along with a host of other young prospects, the 21-year-old expects Guardiola to opt for a similar policy of nurturing youth at the Allianz Arena.

“He will focus on young players and, although each club has its own style, they can do it, because Bayern has many very skilled players.”

Didn't think a few years ago that we'd be divided about Thiago our wonderkid and Pep our greatest coach. Well here we are.

Really, taking advantage? How so? If the player wants to leave Barca, how the hell it is Pep's fault? Do you expect a young talent like Thiago will leave Barca to have more minutes and all other clubs will refuse him because " oh noo he is from Barca, ohh poor Barca we should not take advantage of the clause" , is that what you think?

Pep would have been wrong if Thiago had said that he wants to stay at Barca and Pep yet made those comments. But that's not the case. Here the player is getting out. Nothing to do with others. It's an individual decision from the player.

Summer is not over yet. It remains to be seen what Rosell does or doesn't do. I'll judge when the summer is over but he needs to get us a CB and I have no problem with getting either Thiago Silva or Marquinhos. Those are the 2 I prefer.

You do realize Tito was a very sick man this year right? Roura was in over his head. It's the way it played out and Rosell had no way of knowing that Tito would become ill again. Management should have stepped in though and requested Thiago get more minutes because there was a stipulation in his contract that we could lose out millions on a transfer if he didn't play a certain amount of minutes though.

Except Thiago has never come out and said he wants to leave and by all accounts had not completely made up his mind.

Would you be happy for Pep to start talking to and trying to sign Busquets if he is not happy with the next contract offer and threatens to leave?

If Tito has a serious health problem like cancer why he doesnt step down? This disease almost never lets you in peace..
