That's why I said I'm not saying Pep is to blame, but what he did is gonna damage Barca and it isn't something good. It's all depends on how you look at the things. Everyone has their own opinions based on their judgements.

I understand Thiago rumored isn't happy because lack of minutes and want to leave. I rate Thiago as a good talented young player, thats why I'm saying it's gonna damage Barca because if he leave then Barca lost a player like him (for me).

The stats have been posted earlier, if I remember correctly his stats for the second half of the season where comparable to the second half of the season under Pep.

He was never treated with the same level of trust last season in comparasion with Pep's last season. Guardiola simply believed in him and gave him important minutes.

I agree that Pep let him play more in important games than Tito did, Pep simply trusts the youth more than Tito does sadly.

If Tito doesnt rate Thiago highly enough to give him playing time why do you have a problem with him leaving? Does it really make a difference where Thiago goes to if he's leaving? Its like you dont like your girlfriend and want to break up with her but you dont want her to start seeing ur friend and would rather be in a broken relationship then letting her go.

You assume Thiago will leave only for Bayern and not Man Utd. Sorry i cant argue with made up logic like that.

I hope Thiago stays as I believe he will be a great player and I think Barca want to keep him but are not going to beg him to stay. If after all this he is at Barca next season then it will prove he is committed to the club, if he leaves then it will prove he is not committed to the club and it would be better for all if he leaves.

Most of what people post here is made up, I don't know Thiago, or anyone at Barca. I am giving my opinion on how I see the situation and that is what you are doing and everyone else here

Why should he play Thiago because of a clause in his contract? Maybe because he's our best prospect (besides Neymar) and the future of our midfield and could leave for peanuts if Tito doesn't play him? Especially considering there were pointless games in which he could have played Thiago to keep his buyout clause at 90m. I can't believe anyone is seriously trying to excuse Tito's decision to not play Thiago in those games.

And no, Tito was not right to think that Thiago didn't deserve to play more than he did or was not good enough.

If playing your best youngster in pointless games will keep his buyout clause at 90m instead of making it drop to 18m, thus making sure he stays, then you play said youngster. End. of. story.

If Thiago played those games at the end of the season I think he would still want to leave, he wants to play the big games and be a sure starter in those games. Xavi and Iniesta have earned their starting berth and if fit should play especially as there is no need to rest them. Neither of those two had clauses in their contract to play a certain amount, they performed so the manager would have no choice but to play them. Thiago has not performed at a level to earn more minutes than he received, until he improves he is backup to the first team and that is were he deserves to be. When he improves and reaches the standard of Xavi and/or Iniesta then he will get the playing time he craves.

Thiago has not gone anywhere yet, Tito's strategy may yet keep Thiago at the club without having to offer an improved contract.

Guys, keep calm and watch this:

No need to hate Pep. He is a legend here. Everyone of us should appreciate what he did for us. If Thiago wants to leave and if Pep wants Thiago, it's okay. It's Thiago's decision. Pep does not force him to come to Bayern.

That never happened. He played a total of 70 minutes in the CL knockout stages under Pep. And when fit, Tito actually played him a lot more than Pep did in La Liga:

In the second half of the season in 11 / 12 Thiago has played 879 minutes under Pep.

In the second half of the season in 12 / 13 Thiago has played 1102 minutes under Tito.

The perception that Thiago was underused by Tito is only due to the fact that he missed almost half of the season with an injury.

You seem to be forgetting that an aging and injury prone Xavi should have his minutes reduced and a maturing Thiago should be trusted more which is clearly not happening.

If you think Tito trusts and treats Thiago better than Pep than im not going to argue with you further.

And not playing Thiago in meaningless games which would have avoided this saga is unpardonable and downright criminal

I cant believe we have moyes and pep was available last summer, shows the class he has choosing bayern over a money rich club, and the balls to ask for what he wants in his press conference - compared to moyes. Jesus 6 years.

Well Bayern is also rich...so thats wrong, he also could choose United. It was clear that he wont choose an "oil club" like chelsea or city....

Don't kid yourself. Pep went because Bayern has all the resources to succeed in his eyes. One of them is money, players and political power, all of which allow Bayern to have a type of dominant stranglehold on the goings on which none of the top teams in the other major leagues have. Further, their continuity and stability in their infrastructure and fiscal solvency make them them am obvious choice.

It's crazy that people defend Pep. Everyone acting like its ok for an ex barcelona coach , player , and a fan to just take one canterano from under our noses. He should have been the first one to put it into Thiagos head that he would be our first choice player in the future. As he himself indicated, he didn't try to convince Neymar to join Bayern b.c Neymar wanted to go to barca really bad ( so if he had had some doubts he would have persuaded him to not accept Barca's offer? ). It seems to me that this guy is trying to get back at Rosell and Tito without realizing that he's actually hurting the club .
This is not Rosell vs Pep to me,
This about Barcelona above anybody else ( yes, and that includes things that benefit the club).
Forget about Rosell, he's got more years before his contract ends and just last season Barca won their best league ever.
