Right back at ya, Bojan

Pep, the ball boy who became player, became Captain, became coach and became a legend vs the corporate whore?...It's an easy choice, every time...One is a true culé who has kept his word and shown class & character in everything he has done

I blame Pep because he was the manager in charge when the clause was put into the contract and now he is taking advantage of his mistake at another club.

:rofl1: Tito could literally have avoided this by playing Thiago in the last three matches of La liga. Next thing you will say that Pep is responsible for Barca not winning trophies because his system is not working under Tito.

If Pep does not try to sign Thiago then he will stay at Barca.

Why should Tito play Thiago just because of a clause in his contract? That sets a precedent for all young players to just get their agent to ask for a clause so they have to play. Tito should be free to choose who he wants to play and not be forced into playing Thiago because of what is in his contract. Tito did not think Thiago deserved to play or was good enough and he is right in that.

Thiago was looking for an improved contract and a guarantee of playing time, he never wanted to leave Barca until Pep showed an interest. The only club Thiago will leave Barca for is Bayern, if he wanted to join Man Utd he would be there now

If Tito doesnt rate Thiago highly enough to give him playing time why do you have a problem with him leaving? Does it really make a difference where Thiago goes to if he's leaving? Its like you dont like your girlfriend and want to break up with her but you dont want her to start seeing ur friend and would rather be in a broken relationship then letting her go.

You assume Thiago will leave only for Bayern and not Man Utd. Sorry i cant argue with made up logic like that.

They were supposed to throw millions at him to stay on the bench and act as a mascot.

This is ridiculous. Abidal is a true professional and was ready to play for a very small fee. Considering the dire state of our defence and the Abidal's contribution to Barca it would'nt have been a bad thing if he played for another year. It was disgraceful how he was treated. Remember Bartomeu said that Abidal would have a new contract if he played again. And some people are trusting the same administration's spiteful vendetta against Pep

I don't understand why a division is created here, because of Thiago's transfer.

In my opinion you cannot put the blame fully in Tito or Thiago, Thiago's father, Rosell and Pep.

It is also funny, because the debate is Pep vs Rosell and in my opinion these two guys have the least responsibility, if Thiago leaves. Thiago is thinking of leaving because he clearly feels that he is not valued enough by the management and I personally cannot blame him, because even though he deserved to play more, he just sat to the bench. And that leads us to the man with the greatest responsibility in my opinion, who is no other than Tito. He seemed not eager at all to give him important minutes or show confidence in his ability. His illness or his indifference caused him not to know about this ridiculous release clause at only 18 millions. Thiago's father also seems a little pushy, but we cannot know if he has a part to this saga. Rosell in my opinion has no part at all at this transfer and that doesn't mean that I like him, but I honestly cannot see the connection at all. Pep himself is not to blame, because he did what a good manager of Bayern should do. Look for bargains and bring talented players to his club. But the fact that this man is a Barcelona hero for a lot of us, it just leaves a bad taste to the mouth.

1. I cant believe some people are blaming Pep for the possible departure of Thiago and completely absolving Tito and Rosell who are the real culprits here. Remember if we had a competent manager who didnt prefer to play a 33 year old Xavi every match (however meaningless) over an exciting prospect and a competent president who would have found a better coach or atleast let Tito know about Thiago's clause we wouldnt be in this position in the first place.
2. People are talking as if Thiago playing under Pep is unpardonable but the same people seem to have no problem or are not talking about Thiago working under David Moyes. Seems like Thiago is just a tool to bash Pep and a distraction for the criticism that Rosell and Tito should be getting
3. Pep is now the manager of Bayern. How can you blame him for looking out for his club's interests. What if he said that Tito would not know how to play Neymar and Messi together. Seeing Tito's incompetence this is not that far fetched. Plus he wanted to bring Neymar to Bayern and is justified in trying his best to do so. Nowhere has he discredited Barca as a club
4. Pep lost his hair while giving his all to Barca. Being the manager of Bayern wont make that go away. Some people easily forget this. Pep doesnt need to prove he loves Barca to any of us. His record is there for everyone to see. Many of the people bashing Pep would do anything to have him back at Barca.

Tito, Rosell and management also apparently made no attempt to keep Thiago (apparently, Tito and Thiago had a conversation and Tito even told him he doesn't promise more minutes next season).

The only people to blame for this are Tito and Rosell. Not Thiago and certainly not Pep.

Why should Tito play Thiago just because of a clause in his contract? That sets a precedent for all young players to just get their agent to ask for a clause so they have to play. Tito should be free to choose who he wants to play and not be forced into playing Thiago because of what is in his contract. Why should he play Thiago because of a clause in his contract? Maybe because he's our best prospect (besides Neymar) and the future of our midfield and could leave for peanuts if Tito doesn't play him? Especially considering there were pointless games in which he could have played Thiago to keep his buyout clause at 90m. I can't believe anyone is seriously trying to excuse Tito's decision to not play Thiago in those games.

And no, Tito was not right to think that Thiago didn't deserve to play more than he did or was not good enough.

If playing your best youngster in pointless games will keep his buyout clause at 90m instead of making it drop to 18m, thus making sure he stays, then you play said youngster. End. of. story.

The greatest Barcelona coach in history over Rosell and co? Very easy decision.

Not so easy when Rosell and co are still under the flag of FC. Barcelona while the greatest Barcelona coach in history under the flag of Bayern.

Still easy. Rosell will be gone in some time but Pep's accomplishments with Barcelona are going nowhere.

At first I look it from Pep vs Rosell, of course I prefer to support Pep.

But then again, I look from what actually happen generally, Pep stated he want Thiago, who is currently a Barca player, no matter how I dislike Rosell too, but what Pep did isn't good for the club, I mean Pep can hold super duper hate for Rosell but what he did is gonna damage Barca too not only Rosell.

I'm not saying Pep is to blame, but what he did is gonna damage Barca and it isn't something good.

He is going to damage the club by legally buying the player who wasn't getting playing time in the first place, just wow.

Quite an exaggeration; if he hadn't been injured, Thiago probably would have played the same amount of minutes as in the preceding season under Pep.
