During Pep's time barca countered a lot. In the 2010-2011 season especially, when we won the double, Pep utilized the counter attack a lot.

The pressure and demands at FCB is way too high for anyone to handle for a long time, and even if they could once we start losing everyone and everything becomes dispensable. Just like Pep i think Thiago might have noticed that Barca is going to the same stage on worldfootball like before the Guardiola time. This might be the point that even Pep understood that Barca would need so many changes and fresh blood to get the right mood back. But because of the style we play and the players we have i guess the board and Rosell denied him the wish to sell many players and to buy new once just like he did after Rijkaard. So now this might be the attemp from Rosell to bring Barca back with the same tactics we have already known. In the past Ronaldinho brought barca back to worldclass and now Neymar is the choosen one. But imo we still have to much old players. So we cant compare the situations. At least we have to get rid of some players and even more some leaders to creat a new Barca.

Btw are there pictures showing pep and his former players ? i doubt so.
