I guess this article has summed up, pretty well, all my doubts about this whole drama... Pep signs a totally unneeded Cesc, Thiago who is represented by Pep's brother includes a stupid clause in his contract and Pep makes his first signing at his new club a Barca cantera going against the only promise he made to his hometown club!!
Pep said, he will never forcefully take someone out from Barca or negotiate. Thiago wanted to leave Barca man. He told the club he will not renew. Okay let's stop there. So he does not have a club (just think) if he does not renew. So isn't it obvious other clubs will try to sign a player like him?

EDIT : Go back to 1990's and just count how many canetra/catalan products we have re-signed who left the club before. It has been our tradition to reunite these catalan players who had made it to a big level. It's been a long tradition. Cesc, was a matter of time. Even he wanted to return at Barca.

Thiago is indeed a greedy dog... But if it was just his greed that made him get outta here, he would have signed for a club where he would get regular playing time! What does the fact that no other club showed any interest tell you? He is not one of those over-hyped youngsters who would not attract interest!!

Yes Cesc's return was kinda inevitable... but it so happened that Cesc was signed when Thiago was about to sign a contract renewal... it so happened that Cesc was signed when Thiago's father was making tantrums left, right and centre against the signing... it so happpened that Thiago believed in Pep, at Bayern even though there were super-duper-stars there and were just returning from a record breaking season, even though he was the one who signed the player that reduced his chances at Barca!!

Anyone still cares about Thiago? 
I only have only one complaint about Pep, and that's the way he managed Ibra. Everytime I see him play, I get a little mad Pep wasn't able to integrate him in the team, or whatever it is that happened.

IMO, nothing against Ibra as a player but he shouldn't have even been here.

So far Pep has shown to be a very flexible manager tactically and managing his personnel. Though the whole Robben PK issue was a bit overblown, all the players seem to praise him!
Don't you know you can't say anything bad about pep? Doesn't fit in his carefully planned image of a deity among hipsters.

Thiago was all Tito. Never played him even in stupid games when the title was already won. When asked about it, instead of supporting him like "Thiago is a fantastic player, his time will come." or something similar he just went on to say things like: "I just pick the players who deserve to play" or about that ridiculous buy-out clause made by Rosell: "I don't look at the contracts..I don't care."
