He wont come back in the near future but it's pretty much guaranteed that he'll be offered the job by the club every time the position is available in the future. As the year's go by maybe he'll feel differently.

I never expected him to come back but that doesn't stop his statement from hurting. It's the kind of wish that, no matter how unrealistic, is always going to remain with you. Any sane Cule has a strong attachment to Pep and knows how impossible it is to truly move on from that era.

Even 3 years after his departure our woes always tend towards being unsatisfied that our current football isn't up to THAT standard or that xyz component doesn't resemble the true way of playing we had before. I see a lot less United fans still mourning over SAF compared to Barca fans and Pep. The legacy he left here is still central to what we perceive 'Barcelona' to be and it'll be this way for a LONG time. I can never not be sentimental when it comes to Pep and Barca.

It sucks because we all know it's one of those "either you are with us or against us" scenarios.

For me, it's brutal facing the fact that Pep will be one of our main competitors in Europe over the next 1-2 decades wherever he goes.

Summed up perfectly.
This is pretty painful as in the back of my mind I felt Pep would return once the core of our current team moved on.
Tough pill to swallow

He'll come back after the smoke finally clears and the sextuple days are a distant memory. Only then will the comparisons cease and he'll be able to work his magic in peace.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure he said that he wanted to retire relatively early (like 50ish I think). Maybe he'll go back to coaching Barca B or something since he said he likes coaching youth.

He will come back as president-nothing else.

People need to get over him. By all means cherish his era and the style of football we played BUT those days are over.

This harking back to the past is whats hurting our present and future.

Tbh, it's the only good answer he could have given...

Suppose, he said 'Oh yes, sure I'd like to come back to Barca one day'. How do you think the papers would look like every-single-day for the rest of this season ??

Everyday would have some sort of 'news' (made-up news of course) about Pep probably coming to save the day in summer, or in 2016, or ... So, be glad he answered like that, wether it be true or not.

The Bayern Munich boss was unwavering and said that he would not consider coaching the side again

Pep Guardiola
will not manage FC Barcelona again.

The current Bayern Munich manager is arguably the greatest in the Catalan side's history but despite retaining his feelings for Barcelona and the region, he has confirmed he will not return as coach.

Guardiola was in Barcelona to vote in the referendum over Catalonia's future and told Esports3 that his time as coach was over and not an era that would be repeated.

"No, no, no,"
he said when asked if he'd manage the club again. "In principle, as a coach, that era is over. In life there are cycles, and that era has ended."

After Guardiola left Tito Vilanova took over, but his reign was sadly cut short by cancer.

Tata Martino took the reins but suffered a painful one-season tenure before being replaced by Luis Enrique in the summer.

:(
Well, good luck where ever you go. Visca el Barca.
