Pep Guardiola

One of the best without a doubt. However, he is no longer the best in his generation. Klopp and Zidane are up there with him.

They are not in the same generation though. Guardiola has been on top earlier and longer than Klopp and Zidane.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read today. Where do these people come from?

Hes fucked up in the CL in recent times by overthinking, but a Valverde tier manager LMAO. He's still in the upper echelon as far as managers are concerned.

His achievement in Barca doesn't mean he is a great manager. After Barca proves that he is not. Change my mind

That is true, but the difference is not that big. Who do you think is considered to be in Pep's generation?

Diego Simeone, Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino, and Massimiliano Allegri are in the same generation, in my opinion + of course, JK, Zidane, and LE.

Will be interesting to see how City's board react if PSG win the Champions League this week.

Think they'll sack Pep if he fails in the CL again if that's the case. Two of the "new age" big money clubs (PSG and Chelsea) will have already conquered Europe and no doubt they will be growing impatient.

Yup and Chelsea got close on several occasions with semi finals and the 08 final loss before they won it. City have looked nowhere near it except for 15/16.

This is what I'm thinking. I think it's clear that they're desperate to renew him but you get the impression he would have signed already if he wanted to extend.

Pep will stay longer and he used to like shorter contracts anyway so not renewing long term does not mean much.

Will be thinking more about CL with City in next few years than walking away.

What makes you so sure, though? Surely you're not going on anything more than a hunch

We are all basing it on a hunch.
I think Pep is on a wait and see mode. He wants to know if he can motivate himself and the squad this year or his time there is up.

Average coach at best

Humiliated by fckn Lyon.
HE is nothing without Messi, xavi, iniesta.
Can only stomp domestic comps (of course with the financial most powerful team of each league (city / bayern))

Cruyffistas need to stop wetting their pants about Pep.

Even a9 year olf could have one 1 CL with Messi, Xavi, iniesta.

It is even more emberassing that he failed toi get only 1 CL with that Cheat Squad back then

Maybe even Valverde would win CL with prime Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, alves etc. but he wont play the BEST football of all time. Pep is a genius and he will always be a genius but I think he feels huge pressure before the Cl knockout matches and overthinking too much. Just play your football and you will win.
