at you if you think Pep stole Thiago. He had nothing to do with it. Thiago already told the club he wants to leave and won't renew. Board did not make any move. Thiago is a top class professional football player, so he would obviously wait for offers from other club.

Knowing Thiago won't renew , Bayen made a move under Pep's authorisation, so did Manchester United. Thiago chose Bayern.

there was never any offer from Utd... Thiago himself confirmed that. It was just his father's smokescreen coz Pep promised he never would forcefully buy a player from Barca. So in order for him to buy one and still maintain a good relation with his fans back home, they had to create a fake atmosphere wherein Utd bid for Thiago. The smokescreen was that Pep wanted to steal him from Utd, so he had to make a bid against his promise and hence his fans back home would not mind! In reality, it was not what happened!!
