I don't go against my boys Raki, Cou, Pique etc.

And it is not as if Cou got too many chances as a CAM with Messi on a field and as a CAM without Messi on a field.

I am not too happy with Cou's mental strength, though.

Not sure it's smart to fully admit that .

He is decent enough, it was tough to get that last injury.
The transfer was bad, and he never played so well, but most of it has been due to systemic faults, not really his fault most of it.
If Barcelona are not able to sell, I wouldn't be surprised if he could succeed under another manager next year.

What are those excuses?! Not his fault that he looked completely lifeless? Even his "good" start this season wasnt really good at all. 3 or 4 good - not great - games?

Now I'll sound like a member of Dembele's fanclub, but he'd look better with more space and in central position. As a CAM with faster players, could create in quicker transition.

Never thought he was particularly good under pressure, in tight spaces. Even if he can dribble.

Wouldn't surprise me he succeeded in a different club. Or even here, with a different manager.

I would compare him maybe to the way Trincao has played; good technique, mostly understands the combinations and the play, but not really fitting in and finding his space structurally. In the beginning of this season was the worst, Koeman put 3,4 or 5 players in that same space, which worked decently some games but terrible others.

But you are right, I should not make excuses for him - he earns well enough and if he doesn't manage to look good that's life and he has to leave.
I should say instead that I still think he could succeed in a good Barcelona, in the right circumstances. Dembele or Griezmann on the other hand are completely hopeless in their different ways.

Coutinho is the worst transfer ever made. He was always a technically gifted player but not a hard worker and very much dependent on form.

If the only excuses are ifs and buts then they?re not good excuses. If my aunt had balls she?d be my uncle. Yeah well she doesn?t so...

Has this guy contributed anything att all since he was brought in from Liverpool? It has to be the worst transfer in history when accounting for the cost to performance ratio, Daglish signing of Andy Carrol is also up there. This is easily the worst transfer Barcelona has ever done, Arda was a big fiasco but he did not cost even 1/3 of what Coutinho has cost and Coutinhos wage is more the 3 times higher also. Coutinho so far has cost FC Barcelona 260 million euros, 160 in transfer and 100 million euros in wages and still he has another season left. Arda cost 40 in transfer and 40 in wages, at 80 million I actually think Arda was a better deal that the 260+ million Coutinho.

I mean think about this, Coutinho has played 90 matches for 260 million euros, that is almost 3 million euro per game, Arda was only 80 million for 55 matches, even Messi when you look at his entire career is less than 2 million euros per game, and he has atleast earned his salary.
