Philippe Coutinho

Has this guy contributed anything att all since he was brought in from Liverpool? It has to be the worst transfer in history when accounting for the cost to performance ratio, Daglish signing of Andy Carrol is also up there. This is easily the worst transfer Barcelona has ever done, Arda was a big fiasco but he did not cost even 1/3 of what Coutinho has cost and Coutinhos wage is more the 3 times higher also. Coutinho so far has cost FC Barcelona 260 million euros, 160 in transfer and 100 million euros in wages and still he has another season left. Arda cost 40 in transfer and 40 in wages, at 80 million I actually think Arda was a better deal that the 260+ million Coutinho.

I mean think about this, Coutinho has played 90 matches for 260 million euros, that is almost 3 million euro per game, Arda was only 80 million for 55 matches, even Messi when you look at his entire career is less than 2 million euros per game, and he has atleast earned his salary.

I can't recall anything for Barca, but for Bayern...

Doctors recommend Coutinho to advance his recovery and start training on grass, but the Brazilian doesn't feel comfortable. [cat radio]

Faked a back injury to leave Liverpool.

Is this dawg taking an injury not to return to us? I have some respect for him as a human so I'm going to assume it's fake news dawgs

Official: Philippe Coutinho has been successfully operated on today for a meniscal cyst in his left knee by Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar. [fcb]

Hopefully he is fit enough by August to pass a medical. Otherwise we're stuck with him for another season.

Who'll take him?

Even if he's fit by August, nobody is going to spend any money on him. He's barely played this season and is on a lot of money a week.

Arsenal or Everton might be desperate enough to take him, but I doubt they can afford his wages. They'd only take him on a loan.
