This guy coudn't do shit against bottom league teams in Spain, and you think he can do in toughest league in the world?
I would like to concede L on this statement, but there is like 5% chance he will do anything worth for Aston Villa to make them trigger buy option.

He is small, low stamina, slow, mental midget with one trick.

He fooled Aston Villa and BBZ to think he is a muscular beast with Instagram. :koeman:

Impressive physics though.

We will again look ridiculous when Coutinho starts winning player of the month awards under StevieG

How many times have we made ourselves look stupidly inept with our transfer deals - Suarez , Greizman...
Paying an absolute fortune then LOANING him out ffs

Aston Villa to destroy Barca in Confederations cup next season? Man, that would be something.. Coutinho 2 goals and 1 assist.

Not a masterstroke by Alemany, but this have the potential of being a very good deal for all three parties involved.

Aston Villa get a player they usually wouldn't get whereas Coutinho won't be under pressure like he would elsewhere, or have the competition to start as he would in for example Arsenal with Martin ?degaard doing so well for them.

Coutinho will play under a manager who personally requested for him to join them, someone he played with and was a close friend with so Gerrard will probably give him a lot of chances and play him in his best position which should give him a lot of confidence, also like I said earlier not as much pressure there as here or another club like Arsenal.

From what I have heard Gerrard is a great managerial talent and if he can get Coutinho to play at his best then we should be able to sell him easily in the summer. Either to Aston Villa themselves or another Premier League club.

Just fingers crossed for no injuries.

Watch this video and compare his game with Barca.

Wow. it's like he is a different player we signed.

He scored some insane goals and nice dribbles.

His best times with Barca:

BTW, look at the speed difference between the leagues. It's pretty mindblowing. Maybe LaLiga made Coutinho too slow?

same with Hazard :p

Liverpool won Pl and Cl after he left though. Being THE superstar of the team is also for some players important regarding their confidence.

Won the treble with Bayern. Quality player. Reminds me of Mesut Ozil in the sense that he isnt a force by himself but if you surround him with a bunch of work-horses, he will flourish.

Villarato!
That bit about him giving up 35% is surely BS. He can't be as desperate to go play elsewhere, Xavi was giving him minutes, so why would he just willingly give up 1.5M on his biggest contract?

But maybe that he's agreed to a bulk sum payout to be released in summer or something
Then again makes no sense provided there's an option to buy in the loan deal so guess not

He barely did anything for Bayern. In fact, Bayern sucked when Kovac tried to play him. Then Flick came, benched Coutinho, put Muller back on 10 where he belongs and Bayern bulldozered everyone.
