Semi-Neutral

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
Toure :worthy:

Another free kick, Silva had hit the crossbar before that, Fulham had forced a nice save out of Hart earlier as well

Fun game

I wouldn't bank on that.

For me they should now go on to win the league. Definitely the best squad in the league but for me major question marks over the manager (in big games) and for that defence. Which is why I don't rule out Chelsea or Arsenal quite yet.

Whilst its nice to be top at this time I don't expect us to really challenge for the league this season. Just being in the top 4 is good enough for now and we need to maintain this form going into the new year.

I honestly can see all of City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal winning the league. They all have their down-sides but so far that hasn't really shown too much. Perhaps as the season progresses those respective weaknesses will have more impact, which could indeed make City favourites, but then again, I doubt anyone would have predicted Arsenal and now Liverpool being top of the table come December. If Arsenal lose tomorrow there'll be a 1-point gap between 1st and 4th, so everything will stay open for a little while.

Wow you guys are really undermining man u hey? Those guys look better than before and will also fight for the title, I've watched the premier league long enough to see the best clubs on paper miss out on the title. Man united will be there with everybody else fighting for the league.

8-10 points behind 1st and 5-7 points behind 4th at this stage of the season doesn't make them seem like contenders now. Everything is possible but right now I don't see it happening.

I agree to an extent but given our start, its kind of understandable, but yeah I'd be surprised if we weren't pushing for second come the end of the season.

I'm more surprised at people including Liverpool as contenders tbh. They have had an excellent start and are doing all the right things, but IMO they are still miles away from matching teams like United and Chelsea over the course of a season, nevermind City who are just far superior.

One Liverpool fan today on RAWK said ''It's hilarious how superior our Liverpool team is to United'' ...I think modest Liverpool fans will know for now, it's United underachieving and Liverpool doing the opposite. If Liverpool do prove me wrong, then fair play to them, I'm all for giving credit where it's due. However, there is still a long long way to go yet and I think fourth, possibly third, would be massive for Liverpool this season, anything else is just really unrealistic.

I wouldn't say City are far superior at all. Superior yes but not far superior. For many reasons. One I think we have a better manager and the other is that their defence is really weak.

As for man u and chelsea. I also believe Chelsea have a superior team than us and once they sign a striker their squad strength offensively will be massive. However they also have a weak defence and no proper DM to play alongside the likes of Ramires and Lampard.

Man U are in transition and I wouldn't be folly enough to suggest we have a better team judging for six months. However I wouldn't swap Rodgers for Moyes not in a million years. I know who I'd bank on to progress a team - and it ain't Moyes.

Man U will be there or thereabouts and will be stronger next season of course. But as long as Moyes is in charge there is quite frankly nothing to fear.

Are Man U underachieving? Or was Fergi overachieving? Seriously that question has to be asked. Average midfield. Central defence isn't the greatest that is can be. RVP over the hill perhaps? Lots of questions need asking.

I would say for our squad challenging for the league is over achieving but being in the top 4 isn't. IMO.

If you give me 1 point from our next two games I'd actually take it tbh. Man City and Chelsea away in the same week is hard.

For me the Man City game is what I call a free hit. We've banked enough points already that it has become that for me. Especially with our win over Spurs. So in a really perverse way I am looking forward to it and seeing how we compete against them. I expect a loss but expect us to play with a bit of freedom.

Then its time to end Mourinho's record at the Bridge :D

Really this is a great time for us at the moment and I am going to relish in it as much as I can do. We've exceeded my and really all LFC expectations from before the season started to where we are now.

If you can't enjoy these moments as a supporter then what's the point :D

This isn't a bad post to be fair, and although I might not agree with everything (I agree about the midfield, but our center backs are very strong, as long as we never let Ferdinand near it again!) nothing you say is unreasonable. I do think City are vastly better than anything else in the Premier league at the minute though, if nothing else, certainly at home.

I've never liked Rodgers, genuinely didn't think much of him as a manager, and think you guys over-rate him, but Liverpool are doing well this season, so he might yet make me eat my words.

Of course though enjoy it, and if you do have a great season, make sure you rub it in to the rival fans...I'll be doing the same if you don't! ...Liverpool will deserve a lot of credit for me just finishing in the top four, never mind anything else.

I would be very surprised if United were in the title race come the end of the season. I think top four is a more realistic goal, and they could still easily miss out on that too.

In pure talent terms Man City have the best depth easily. But as you say their away form is very shoddy and that comes from the mentality that needs to change. You can't just turn up and expect to win. You need to earn these wins. Once they overcome that mentality then their ability will win out.
