Not all that less technical and Peps tactics never worked last season until he had the pace and power to go with it.

Barely any of the teams 'boot the ball upfield' and La Liga teams never really found a way to stop Peps Barca anyway so no real difference.

Even the best version of Pep's Barca never had 17 wins out of the first 18 games. And we're talking about a much better team. I'm watching a lot of EPL, to me there is a distinct difference between the technical level of the teams from England and Spain. Spanish teams have more players who can pass the ball under pressure more effectively. This is also because the Spanish, South American and Portuguese players are the most prevalent in Spain and they're also the most technical players in the world.

Peps Man City have been close in a lot of games to getting draws etc and have had to fight for them.

Flip side of that is that Pep never struggled at Barca as much as he did last season with largely same tactics that he has clearly adapted a bit.

There is not a distinct difference in techincal level.

Liverpool were far better technically than Sevilla it wasnt even close, Chelsea played better football than Atletico across the two legs etc.

Sevilla and Atletico have had much better results in Europe than Chelsea or Liverpool recently, so don't know why you bring that up. Out of three games Sevilla beat Liverpool once and drew the other two games.

Yes, Spanish teams are overall more technical than the English ones.

It is not weak and comparing it to back then means nothing.

Second best team is yet to be seen across the season.

You are being anti for the sake of getting attention as usual.

It is obviously relevant to compare the strength of the respective eras of the Premier League to the post I refered to, i. e. "is this City the best Premier League team of all time if they continue to break records".

Of course City's point total means less in a weaker era than in a stronger one where the Premier League had 3 to 4 teams which could make it to the CL semis regularly.

Not this season they havent and you are arguing about the technical side of the game as it stands now.

Sevilla have had better runs in europe than City as well it means nothing if comparing them as sides right now.

Nope they are not overall more technical.

Liverpool in those two games battered Sevilla clear as day if watching it which side was stronger technically.

City quite possibly are the strongest EPL side ever. Remains to be seen.

Not sure why you're arguing this. Spanish players are more technical than British players, that's obvious imo. And most teams in Spain and England still rely on the domestic players mostly.

How is the average EPL team supposed to fight with a supreme passing team with mostly players who know the long ball of kick and run and crossing and heading the ball much better than the passing under pressure game.

Quite simply City is strong enough to make almost every game about passing under pressure, and EPL teams are not technically good enough to cause them trouble in this area, nor are they good enough to make City fight their kind of game.

Spanish players are looking to dive though, British players are ready for war because they know every game is a battle

Top Spanish players are more technical. Not arguing against that.

The best Spanish players not at Real, Barca or Atleti are more likely to be in EPL than Spain.

Some of the best techincal players in the world are at top teams in EPL.

If Barca were looking for players after Real and Atleti struggle to find many players would take at all in Spain. Many more across teams in EPL would have a chance.

Not only top Spanish players. Betis, Getafe, Eibar, have overall technically better players that the likes of Huddersfield and Palace. Especially in midfield and defense. British teams suffer of this belief that you only need technically gifted players in attack, while in defense you need strong, tall and physical players. City is tearing apart this type of thinking atm.

No they dont.

The depth of technical players in bottom half of EPL is far better.

City could not tear anything apart last season with largely same tactics..

Because City had some of the same EPL type players, staring with Joe Hart (replaced with Bravo, but a Bravo that was a shadow of himself, comitting errors after errors), an EPL type keeper who'd just boot up the field every ball for a teammate to win a header and play from there.
