All big club have their bad eras. I can hardly think of big clubs that were a laughing stock for 25 years like Pool were. 10-12 the 25 years, you finished outside the top 4.

Also, most big clubs have the majority of their success in spurts when everything collides. Pool 70s and 80s. RM 50s, late 90s, and mid 10s. Barca 90s and 06-15. Ajax 70-73, Bayern 74-76 and 2013-2020. Milan 88-95, mid 00s.
