Of the money spent Lewa improved team the most and he is 34 and will need big money to replace soon enough. So value on him is up for question also in comparison to younger CF.

The players United have, 4-5, are already top class mature players, key players at the biggest national teams on the planet. Varane, Casemiro, Fernandes...

Class mature players or big attacking talents cost a lot of money.

Xavi has Lewa, Raphinha, Dembele, Ferran, Ansu.. 3 of those were bought at his request and the other (Dembouz) kept at his request.

Been over this. Pedri, Gavi, Balde, are too young to rely on at this level constantly. Simples. Bruno and Casemiro are much better right now.

Dembele is good, not as good as Rashford, but close enough.

Antony cost a lot more than Raphinha and is probably going to be a slightly better player, so even on the wings they own us. Sancho and Ferran are the duel of flops, even there I'd take Sancho.

Rashfords form has picked up under ETH and in form of his life. Coaches have input on that and ETH has got him back there.

How can Varane, Bruno and Rashford be 'relied upon' if as poor as last season? You act like these player are all top class and perform regardless of coach and tactics etc.

Xavi gave gavi & Balde their place in first team, Dembele was a disaster class when he came in, so if we are giving ETH credit for developing players we have to do the same for Xavi.

MATS, Araujo, FDJ, Pedri were the only players he came into that were playing some what up to their level.

The fact that he then brought in Christensen for free, Kounde & Lewa speaks to him/the club spending their 220 much better than ETH spent his 400m, if Xavi had that kinda money, we would have our FB positions sorted.

So you said xavi spent is 220m poorly, in comparison to Man UTD & ETH he spend it brilliantly, 60m for raphinha, much better than 100 for Anthony.

Casemiro and Varane are class because they are delvering in part because of coach. If they hadn’t you’d call them dumb purchases and Madrid hand me downs. Passed their prime and not what man u should have been looking for etc.

While I don't agree with Serghei's overall message, I agree with him that having Casemiro and Varane is a huge advantage.

Those two have won countless big games, and we have nothing to counter them with in midfield and defense.

Basically, all key players from RM's 5 CL win squad are cheat codes/huge advantages in big games.
