Imo, Haaland has what Zlatan lacked. He seems to be a team player, with right mentality, while Zlatan would have been an incredible player if not for his low IQ and punk mentality thinking football at the top is some sort of ego contest.

Always thought pace and mobility killed Zlatan (at the highest level)... not mentality or being a team player.

Zlatan had one issue and that was always wanting the play to run through him as he obviously was very gifted technically as well.

Haaland meanwhile is content just being a #9 and scoring shitloads of goals no matter how they come

Hmm, sure, those played a part, but his mentality was rotten and this was the key flaw of him. And there were enough clues about his infatuation and immense ego early on, so this can't work as an excused when we signed him. There as enough on him to know that mentally he is not right.

Zlatan and Haaland is such a lazy comparison lmao.

Zlatan was technically gifted but not clinical at all.

Haaland is completely different and plays on the shoulder of the last CB. Haaland is way more effective and better already

Zlatan, Haaland, and Lewandowski are three very good comparison between them. You can notice a lot by comparing their career paths, personalities, and decisions.

It's basically a cautionary tale that talent, is, in fact, not the most important element at the top.

Zlatan was most talented, but will retire having had the worst career by far.

Its not like Zlatan didnt achieve anything though. Only thing he did not win is the CL.

Really?

Which elite league did he play in? He played in Serie A, but not in early to mid 00s when it was the best. But in era where La Liga and EPL ruled Europe, era of Calciopoli. And Farmers League.

Failed career compared to his talent. Where is he in terms of CL knockout phase goals?

SIUUUUUUU. Started doing a bit of sportsbetting. Had a combination last week of 7 games. Believe it or not I accidentally put Man City to win but on TODAYS GAME instead of last game they lost(pure accident). Now bet came good. I was pretty calm after first half.

He went to England as a 35 year old to play for a crap Man Utd team and scored 17 PL goals.

I fail to see any similarity in these 3 players' personality, career paths, style of play?

Myth. That team created chances for fun and Zlatan had a horrendous conversion rate that season. Should have scored more.

Poonam was creating a lot at that point.
