United were decent enough today.

Didnt just sit back and created roughly same number of chances.

They would probably rather not be in Europa league really.. bar if find themselves deep into it and CL spot possible.

I need to see United vs middle table teams like Palace, Everton, Brighton, Ham etc. If they beat these teams consistently, they are back. So far, it's 12 years and counting.

Rashford really needs to be dropped and have Garnacho LW and Amad RW

Collyer partnering Mainoo in a double pivot.

I still think United will struggle. I have said so since Ferguson left and not been proved wrong yet.

But I acknowledge I am very biased as they're my most hated club in the world.

United have what should be a relatively decent start to season fixture wise.

They need to start well and build some momentum and belief.. or could go south very quickly.

You know what football is like though - the easiest games 'on paper' sometimes turn out to be massive banana skins. United especially have fallen victim to that with all their hammering against 'small clubs' over the years.

They are still the easier games though... the league table will show that.

It is up to them to make sure can win them.

The trend will be that yes, but they'll likely slip up in enough of them for it to affect their league position. Man City are so good at beating the lesser teams and that's why they accumulate so many points in general.

Let's hold fire and wait and see with United. I already said I am biased but if they do well I will give credit where it's due. But we'll see in the coming 9 months.

The point is the lesser teams are 'easier' to beat and Man Utd need to take advantage of early fixtures which they will know.
Yes I know. But my point is they make more mistakes than other big teams in the much more frequent games against 'easier teams', and that's large part why other teams get more points come the end of the season.

There's also the fact that United are better against high lines and the lesser teams sit back and invite them to break them down. So it's not always a good tactical fit for them.

Anyway i sense that we essentially agree 95 percent and are debating over nothing so will leave it there.
