I guess they count on that eventually players will adapt to expanded format across competitions such as UCL and World Cup. The first few seasons should be nasty because they aren't used to playing a game every 3 days but a few years more and they'll probably get along with it. Idk about how exhausting it is though, probably really much. If they all agree it's unadaptable then this shit needs to be fixed. Like Rodri said, if you want quality matches then it's not a good idea to have them every 3 days. Players are tired and hence less spectacle and less action on the pitch.

Well for this to happen then you need to relax the salary caps and allow for bigger squads. So either way you are reducing quality.

City immediately not the favorites for CL anymore.
Rodri is their backbone

With KdB also injured right now, they might trail a little in the premier league race in the next 2 months

Real to win it again aren’t they?

Bernal, MATS, Rodri... How many season ending injuries so far into the season? This is off the top of my head, probably even more. Madness.
Wishing Rodri a speedy recovery.

The amount of these types of injuries happening more frequently is alarming.
It might be recency bias but doesn't ACL injuries seem more common during first half of season? Last year there were a couple from Madrid as well who went out early.

In relation to the discussion on Rodri's comments and subsequent season-ender, FIFA and UEFA (and other governing bodies) have clearly never heard the phrase, 'less is more'.

I understand but the combination football for 60 min was crazy man. All their 1 one touch passes whether ball is taken from air they all reach the intended player. Then as closer to final area they combine real quickly.

Really entertaining how they play. They have the fast transitions with very good fast combinations.
They have these games or halves once in a blue moon. They play like prime Barca (minus clinical finishing). But it's always an extreme rarity. Most of the time they're shite. Last time I saw them dominate like they did in the first half against Palace was against Spurs two or three seasons ago.

They came out in the second half and Palace were the better team and ended up having the best chances of the game. Then they were back to their usual against Twente.

They're a finished club. It's been over for them for a long time and will continue to be so for many more years.
