Am I the only one who think City are there for the taking this season? KDB, Gundo and Bernardo slowing down. Grealish and Doku flops. Savinho needs a year to bed in. Their best player is out for the season.
Who do they actually have apart from Foden who can't get going this season and who over performed massively last, and Haaland who disappears against strong opponents?
If they win it again this year, will be a monumental embarrassment for the " best league in the world ".

Early seasons were top notch stuff for the mystery buffs. I think Elementary eventually surpassed it.

Could be right, but who can really challenge? Liverpool don't look ready to put together a big season and I never ever trust Arsenal with anything. Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea will all drop daft points they shouldn't.
I agree with what you say about City personnel, but a lot of what they do is coaching rather than individuals - they have this muscle memory and even the lesser/second choice players come in and play like robots who understand the system.
I feel their experience of doing it over and over will likely get them over the line. But if there was a stronger challenger than Arsenal in the league I think they'd be pushed more. I'm one of those who still remains unconvinced by the Gunners when push comes to shove.

But they did draw there last season. I might change it to 1-1 or 2-2. Tbh with Ten Hag there runs are made to be broken anyway ha.

Pep playing four midfielders, plus Grealish is a safer winger than Doku. No Doku or Savinho, which would suggest Pep is looking for more control and taking fewer risks. It's clear that without Rodri he maybe feels less confident in midfield and in being expansive (and especially in games like today i.e. away to a pressing energetic Newcastle side with the crowd behind them).

Yeah Newcastle been quite good I think - can count themselves unfortunate to be behind I feel.
I mean City have dominated the ball but you expect that. Newcastle do play a counter-attacking game which has its limits but can get joy in these sort of games. They've created a few good chances/situations, just the final part of the move hasn't been there yet.
