Valverde would have won back to back trebles and an undefeated season if he had some luck.

In a parallel universe Zidane wins 0 UCL and no league that's how close football is. No last minute Ramos goals no offside goals by Ronaldo they don't win UCL.

EV first season was genius, everyone predicted Real Madrid would dominate but we had the best defence in the league, Alba, Iniesta Rakitic looked finished under Lucho but EV breathed new life into the aging core and adapted perfectly to losing Neymar.

What has Setien ever done to warrant praise? Setien is literally EV without the talent. Real Madrid were Valverde's whipping boys, he has the best clasico record out of an manager. Setien literally lost his first Clasico. And got us knocked out of the Copa.

Funny that many fans consider dominating two Liga back to back is not even good thing but now desperately want it.

It was more the CL humiliations that hurt

Also, the team was in different shape compared to this season. With old teams like ours, from season to season you usually get worse.

This season, the team with Valverde looked absolutely dreadful. With Setien it's a bit better, but still not good enough.

A bit better? It is still the same with worse record against quality teams.

Valverde did a fine job all things considered. I said 1.5 year ago people will realize huge problems lie with the players and we would start appreciating his results more in hindsight.

Also claims like hes unwilling to play youth players and is too conservative to field Arthur turned out to be false, also that players didnt like him for that matter.

We?re no worse off with Setien and we?re no better off either. Valverde got 40 points in 19 games in the league. Setien should beat that at the current rate. Valverde had Messi injured at the start of the year but Setien has harder away fixtures to deal with plus Suarez was injured for first few games.

Not to mention he has to deal with Valverdes shit exercise preparation for the season.

It's older, with more mileage, more injuries through the season and with less motivation to win the title, because they've won it 2 times back to back. All these factors add up, and you get a Barca which no longer is dominant in La Liga.

Also, let's not forget Madrid, who are clearly better than previous seasons. If we had Lopetegui and Solari Madrid this season, we'd have La Liga in the bag right now, even with current form.

It nearly always happens. After 2-3 strong La Liga campaigns, you get 1 poor domestic season. This is not Ligue 1 or Bundesliga, where you win the title almost guaranteed even if you have an off year.

Setien: "In general, and not only with Arthur, he is not the first or the last player with high expectations from which in the end things do not turn out as expected of him."

Imagine if EV said this, this board would have had a collective stroke.

It wasn't even the most surprising thing he said. He also added that ''he is not enjoying'' and that ''if i put 4 young players and lose i'm fired''. Really, the man looks braindead. Being a Bar?a coach is extenuating.
I honestly don't give him more than 1/2 months.

Wow. He said those things?

Valverde would never say those things though. Like most trainers he gave mostly pc answers. Setien is pretty open here. I respect him for it actually, but just hope the players won?t turn against him. Threw Arthur under a bus.

Here are the tweets. He is completely braindead. This is not talked but i'm completely sure he will not stay another season.

There was some falling out probably that we don't know of. Either way, pretty dumb thing to say considering he's still our player until the summer.

Cut out the Solari hate. Or I'll throw tomatoes at you every time.
