Valverde did a fine job all things considered. I said 1.5 year ago people will realize huge problems lie with the players and we would start appreciating his results more in hindsight.

Also claims like hes unwilling to play youth players and is too conservative to field Arthur turned out to be false, also that players didnt like him for that matter.

Damn bro, did Valverde rimmed your asshole so good that your dopamine level went so high up the sky? Almost every post is about Valverde, do you have empathy for his cowardliness? It was his beta personally that made those arrogant, overpaid, overprivileged senior assholes start the club de amigo. This will never happen under strong alpha manager, and you dare to defend the person who is responsible for allowing such circus in this club.

I fucking blame Bartemue and Retardo for this!

Very disappointing quote from Setien.

The club still needs Arthur for the remaining Liga and CL games, especially considering the injuries and the suspensions that we have.

Just missed reading your posts. If takes me commenting about Valverde, so be it.

Setien: "In general, and not only with Arthur, he is not the first or the last player with high expectations from which in the end things do not turn out as expected of him."

Imagine if EV said this, this board would have had a collective stroke.

With good reason.

It wasn't even the most surprising thing he said. He also added that ''he is not enjoying'' and that ''if i put 4 young players and lose i'm fired''. Really, the man looks braindead. Being a Bar?a coach is extenuating.
I honestly don't give him more than 1/2 months.

Agreed. Also this season is over.

Setien is 100% right about Arthur.

Didn't live up to expectation on and off the pitch.
Even if Arthur didn't perform up to expectations, either he should have given a more diplomatic answer or learn to shut his fucking mouth.

We have 8 league games left, and apparently Arthur will still be here in August for the CL as well. De Jong is out for a while and who knows what other injuries we can have along the way. We still need him regardless of the transfer.

I tried giving Seiten a chance but he's coming off as a glorified outspoken version of Valverde. A guy playing the facade of trying to be blunt while also hoping not to rock the boat in hopes he can still have his dream job at the end of the season. If that was the case I would have rather just stuck with Valverde until the end of the season and then he leaves.

Because it looks like this season will likely come to the same conclusion around the time we booted Valverde and hired Seiten.

Easiest way for opp clean-up would've been to hire a cule with nothing to lose, so basically a non-renewable contract for this season only. Take pretty much any1 from this forum for instance

Immediate result: bench and trade the non-performers, give Luisito an apple to bite and order Griezmann to attempt a minimum of 20 shots at goal. Coaching license, I'm sure we could bypass it ( ̄へ ̄)

That's the point, it isn't.

He got fired for a reason mate.

Let's just say that without Zidane being Madrid's manager we'd be looking at the 3rd consecutive title and Valverde would still be at Barcelona.

Yeah. Reason being that an all-time great manager chose to come back, not because results were unacceptable under him.

No indication you'd have league in the bag. At matchday 23 in Feb 2019 Barca had 51 points, while in Feb 2020 you had 49, whereas Real had 45 and 52 respectively. Solari has lost one league game total until the freak result vs Girona, which started a terrible streak - a habit we still haven't totally got rid of, but it's certainly better as I said before to Villarrubi. It'd be different under Solari, not necessarily worse, considering you're having a shit year. We may have made a move to the likes of Llorente instead of sticking to Casemiro and keep Reguilon.

So...

He will not stay(unless there is a miracle and we win something), who will Bar?a sign as manager?
My bet is for Marcello Gallardo.

If we're honest it won't make much difference who the coach is at this point.

Until the board is gone, it doesnt matter which coach we bring in.
Its clear they dont consider Setien a permanent coach, they dont tell him about any transfers beeing made.

Winning this year's half-baked CL competition is our most likely path to a trophy this season. We should see off Napoli at home and then it's only 3 victories needed for the title. Some luck here and Messi magic there and we very well could see ourselves hoisting the trophy at August's end. Not to mention a bunch of psychological blocks are removed due to it being a one legged tournament at a neutral venue with no fans. It won't be the same feeling as winning the CL normally in an ordinary year, but it's still going to count.
