Valverde should have left in the summer after 18/19 as the chalice was poisoned and after back to back titles at least deserved to go with some dignity. However, sacking him in January only to get Setien is just a sign of pure incompetence at board level.

Valverde and Setien are both to blame, but this squad, management and board is rotten to the core.

In terms of actual responsibility for where we are now the management and board are the top of it. I don't think Setien is the answer and Valverde certainly wasn't either, but they've both been hampered by the shitshow that is FC Barcelona the last few years.

So much need to change, but with no money and a lack of vision nothing will happen.

Need midfielders who are more athletic and can play the ball quicker. Need a more athletic CB alongside Pique or in place of him. Need actual quick wingers and a new CF because even if Suarez scores goals again now he fucks up the rest of the play most of the time.

Again though, no money, a lot of bad signings or signings without a plan so you reap what you sow.
