Setien had half a season and no proper summer training under him, not to mention team who is not willing to listen. How the fuck do you coach team like that ? Amigos are cancer

I don't rate Setien but he was made the fall guy
. Valverde was happy to leave.

I think people realized now the players are past it and whoever built this team messed up big time.

Setien was in no win situation. He is the fall guy, but the real fall is made by the players and management.

I would blame Valverde a bit too. He didn't train players enough physically. (That's on players too, unwilling to workout).

So your still blaming Valverde 😆 Setien cult is really something else

Valverde failed = 100% Valverde's fault. Replace him by whatever then Barca would return to Pep's Barca, treble incoming.

Setien failed (much worse) = 50% player's fault + 50% board, no one even Pep or Kloop can fix this team.

WTF is this???
These whole forum still can't accept that they all proven wrong. So they will always try to divert the attention to other

Not really defending him. I don't rate him, because ehe has his flaws but I wouldn't defend Valverde either. He let this situation get out of coaches hands. Amigos were running the show. That was Valverdes mistake. Sure, short-term it worked but ruined us long-term.

Setien cult vs Valverde cult is one of the most pointless arguments.

both are mid table managers, both were cucked by the seniors and both are fall guys. if we had Setien at Anfield guess what? same result would occur because its the players demanding to start and its the players shitting their pants. as manager of Barca you aren't allowed to sub Messi or Suarez, you aren't allowed to make them train harder and you aren't allowed to tell them where to play.

if Valverde was manager vs Bayern it would be exactly the same. I almost want everyone to stay, appoint a new manager and watch the exact same shit occur for the 4th season in a row; maybe then people can realize the #1 problem is club de amigos. any manager coming in is in a lose-lose situation. you try to change things and the seniors bitch about it through the media. you let them run the entire show and you end up the scapegoat when they fuck up

Amigos running the show since 2015, there's a reason why Messi is called little dictator back then. Lucho was crap too in his first season after Messi took over and the rest is history. Valverde is way above Setien in managing they're not equal or the same that people here trying to push

Based on how the board reacted after the Anfield match, I think the signs are not very good.

We just gotta hope that the next board is more proactive in their approach.

Yeah in my mind i'm already talking about the next board, current one is done. At least all candidates should 100% know what has to be done and after that disaster finish there won't be many people left complaining if the "legends" get forced out.

He's one of those guys who worshipped Cruyff and implemented his tactics in his own teams.

But he was just the wrong man for the job. It was far to easy for the Lockerroom Big wigs to not take him seriously enough as his resume was very weak especially at his age, while EV at least had accomplished much more during his time as Manager and was a well respected manager in the League.

Seiten's Ceiling at best is Europa league like he did with Betis but that's about it and that's nothing wrong with that.
