Next season will be worse.

34 year old Messi
34 year old Suarez
34 year old Pique
34 year old Vidal
33 year old Rakitic
32 year old Busquets
32 year old Alba
31 year old Pjanic

Griezmann will turn 30 and Roberto 29 and will only be a few years out from entering geriatric status as well.

Another weak mid-table manager will be installed and we won't compete for anything.

Enjoy.

This lol. I'm genuinely surprised people are hating on the managers so much. You can't do much with an aging midfield and front line incapable of running like other modern teams do. It's also frankly impossible to play modern football without two wingers on either side. Fati's too young and Trincao just got bought, and Dembele's injury prone (hopefully his fortunes will change soon), so I don't see anything different happening next season with Suarez and Messi.

You can hire Klopp, Pep, or bring back Cruyff from the dead and you'll still have slow football, because in order to play great football, the team needs to know how to run. This squad is done.

Setien, just like Valverde, is not the worst manager in the world. But, he doesn`t have the status of a superstar manager who`ll be allowed to do anything he likes in a club like Barcelona.
Whoever coaches Barca, our players play the same way. They have become practically uncoachable. Barca needs a hard reset from a charismatic coach who will change everything. Klopp, Guardiola, Xavi maybe...
It`s not coincidental that Xavi mentioned in his interviews that he wants to start from scratch. He sees it probably more clearly than any of us.
This generation is done. This board is done. Hard reset from the boardroom to the dressing room. Only then will we see some improvement.

Sadly, when that time comes Messi will be at the brink of retirement.

Xavi would be dumb to replace Setien. The players would destroy his coaching career. I think he is clever , he knows he can't be the coach until Messi and his friends are playing

I know that Xavi doesnt want to come yet but if he is coach now, at least senior players will respect him and not go against him since he is absolute legend. He can influence the team well in a short time aka UCL this season (only one match per round).

Pimienta would be cool as well.

Both are better than Setien now who complete lost it

We have read the same for million times under RV.
Anyone would be better.
No one can be as bad.

So, a serious question: what on Earth has fkng Pimienta achieved that we should say that he will be better than Setien?

Ev won titles with Olympiacos and 2 titles with granny Barca.
People said no one could be worse than him.
We changed a guy who won titles in Greece and Spain with a weaker guy who coached 10th placed teams.

Now we should accept Pimienta.
We are changing Setien, who had at least coached La liga teams.

On the other hand, Pimienta is an absolute nobody from a B team.

So, instead of "everyone would be better than Xx", a reality is closer to "90% more likely, Pimienta will be equal or probably even worse than Setien."

Why are you guys so optimistic?

Regarding team performance: Valverde=Setien. We didnt lose the title vs Celta away, Sevilla away or Atletico.

But the latter is such an idiot. He already alienated two players, the dressing room seemingly hates his guts. Pimienta is hopefully a good "buddy" coach and trusts our youth. I would settle for that. Pretty sure he takes over in a month at the latest.

We need a proven coach like Allegri. People cry how CR always had the best coaches and Messi 'had to endure Tata Martino', but then want Xavi, Pimienta etc.

You do know Valverde had a great track record against top-flight teams in La Liga?

All good teams were in form in 2017.
Then they dropped in form in 2018 and 2019.
Now they returned to form.

You should have learned that by now.

EV had zero influence.
Anyone would have won 2 La ligas with this set of players.

We should only remove Setien if we actually have someone better lined up. Otherwise it's a waste of time

I think even a coach with no experience like Pimienta sees the writing on the wall. It's career suicide for practically any coach to come here now.

Where are the two CL trophies you said we would win with Valverde?
