Many here wanted him to play more. He's still too inconsistent. Playing with Iniesta was a terrible decision by LE. If he wanted Rafinha to start, should had started Xavi alongside him.

Rafinha is too much of an individual that just follows the ball about the park.
This is nothing new. He was EXACTLY the same at Celta where in a small team as one of their better players he can have that license.
Pairing him with Iniesta is a farce. Both want to have some freedom and both leave massive holes defensively in midfield.
Iniesta is declining but still miles better thn Rafinha.
I swear I would rather Sergi Roberto/Iniesta partnership. As Sergi is not as good on the ball as Rafina but his positioning and awareness off the ball is fucking miles ahead.

He was our 3rd best player imo. In the first 30 mins he did what Rakitic does. Staying wide when Messi goes inside, playing alongside Suarez when Dani drifts inside and moving the ball quick. Rafa also had our biggest chance besides Pedro and placed his shot well but Weligton's save was pretty good. And he had a crucial challenge in our box when Malaga had a good chance.

Absolutely nothing Rafinha has played like this season has surprised me one bit.
