Raheem Sterling

The problem is, at his price tag, he shouldn't be being outplayed by a number of players in his age group: Martial, Coman, Sane, Gaya, Lemar, etc.
There's nothing he can do about that and frankly price-tag is a bit of a meaningless way to judge a player because there are too many other factors that contribute to the price.

The big question will be how does he react to the pressure. For once English media aren't tearing a young player down (they seem to reserve that for Barkley) so hopefully for him it will just be a question of time.

He has been much better than Gaya this season who has largely been crap.

Not even much between his performances vs Martial who after a good first few games has done next to nothing.

Sterling is still quite inconsistent and not helped by his role constantly changing with Aguero/Silva etc out.

11 goals and 10 assists in 39 games stuck wide in a 4-2-3-1. He scored as many last season in 52 games, sometimes up front. 3 goals and 2 assists in the Champions League in 7 games isn't bad either. I agree he hasn't set the world alight, his role has been quite restrained, but I guarantee Liverpool would rather have kept him than taken the money. There can't be that many 21 year olds performing at a much higher level in Europe.

Sterling=Deulofeu
Both flashy but lacking end product. At least Deulofeu had some nice crosses while he was playing.
